My brown eyed Lisa, wife of mine for 16 beautiful years. You passed away October 2013. Waiting for me somewhere, not here. The tears you've left me to shed have been many. The girls and I miss you honey. How grand life would be if breast cancer didn't ever exist? I hope you're safe. I hope you're happy. I hope there's plenty of light wherever you have gone. I will always love you.
Five months after the post above. Nine months after our Lisa has passed. Less tears. Less grief. New found companionship. But the void, although smaller, will always be there. We will always miss you and love you honey. I pray you're happier than you've ever been, wherever you are. ;..(
Don't fade away, my brown-eyed girl Come walk with me, I'll fill your heart with joy And we'll dance through our isolation Seeking solace in the wisdom we bestow Turning thoughts to the here and ever after Consuming fears in our fiery halos Say what you mean Mean what you say I've heard that innocence Has led us all astray But don't let them make you and break you The world is filled with their broken empty dreams Silence is their only virtue Locked away inside their silent screams But for now let us dance away this starry night Filled with the glow of fiery stars And with the dawn our sun will rise Bringing a symphony of bird cries Don't bring me down now Let me stay here for awhile You know life's too short Let me bathe here in your smile I'm transcending The fall from the garden Goodnight
His voice is magical. The only time I have EVER seen an audience applaud a full 15 minutes to bring an artist back out onto the stage was for Brendan Perry. It was several years ago in Washington DC, his first stop on a tour through the U.S., and I was lucky enough to see him in a small space. We screamed for him on our feet until he came out afterward but it took a long time. Maybe he was unsure, but we made sure he knew how much he meant to all of us. It was amazing.
So very precious few artists are able to connect so closely, as to touch your very soul, the way Dead Can Dance does. You don't just listen to this music, you imbibe it, with your very soul. Those who truly appreciate what Dead Can Dance shares so intimately, already understand this, and so much more
This came up on my shuffle today and I started crying. I remember the time I saw them with my best friend who has since passed. What a beautiful memory of a beautiful song...
This song is soulful, amazing as well as deeply melancholic, I have been knowing this song for years, but each time I hear it, I want to cry immediatly for it moves me so much
This is going to sound silly, but this is my love song to my brown eyed Border Collie, Sophie....it's perfect! She knows all the important things in her wild little heart...
The last time I heard this song, it was a year ago, a beautiful day. We were so in love and, on this sunny afternoon, were tired from our ceaseless adventuring. I sat up in our bed, and you laid back against my chest, falling asleep. This song was the one I played to help you drift to sleep. It was perfect; everything was perfect, then. I wonder, do you remember? Life's too short.. if only I'd bathed more in your smile.
One has to be enlightened to hold a lit up candle to the recesses of other weary and darkened souls. Dispelling the gohsts and bringing peace through beauty is one of the artist's misions and by far the most beautiful. Thank you for writting this song!
This song always makes me think of one of my favorite human beings, the many times we've come together and parted, sharing our mutual love all the while, and how one day, one way or another, we'll have said goodbye for the last time. I love you so much.
But don't let them make you and break you The world is filled with their broken empty Dreams Silence is their only virtue Locked away inside their silent screams
Don't bring me down now let me stay here for a while you know life's too short let me bathe here in your smile I'm transcending the fall from the garden wow
Se me anuda mi garganta escuchando esta canción, es verdaderamente hermosa. Me acerca a dos personas maravillosas que la vida me presento y que la misma vida me arrebato.
And with the dawn Our sun will rise Bringing a symphony of bird cries Don't bring me down now Let me stay here for awhile You know life's too short Let me bathe here in your smile --- I so miss that smile....
dancing...under starry skies.....transcending.......our hearts.....more than we understand....your love is mine.....mine is yours...you will never leave me too far from this moment....transfixed.....from mind's eye to soul.......my love.
i actually found out about this band while at my uncles when my aunt put up Alpha Radio on Pandora and this came up. as soon as it came up i immediately wrote down the band and song name. this shit is just breath taking. this song i would have to say affects me just as much as led zeppelins Rain Song. absolute beauty comes from this song.
