One rarely mentioned use of the Tinker aspect is it drops the Night Light cooldown to 1s in the Forgotten Sepulcher as well. It makes that level significantly easier.
Yeah but giving up achievements and boss cells to negate the mechanic of one level(which isn't even that hard to manage since there are permanent light sources littered at every teleporter and tele-rune) not to mention that said level can be skipped if you feel like your build won't cut it, its not worth it imo I would rather use that second slot for cocoon or something that would help against the corpulent zombies
@@the_og_alpha There is however one thing you can use this. Safer acquire of Point Blank (from Corpulent Zombie exclusive to FS) and Acceptance (requires Moonflowers, on of which is in FS). Not that it makes it out-of-category more viable.
@@the_og_alpha Fair point. Acceptance isn't very viable mutation anyway. Plus, it only spawns on 3bc+ if I'm not mistaken. To be honest, never seen, why would I want to go there otherwise. My average route goes as Prisoners' Quarters (Obviously), Toxic Sewers, Corrupted Prison, Ancient Sewers, Insufferable Crypt (Conjunctivius), Graveyard, Cavern, Guardian' Haven (Giant), High Peak Castle, Throne Room (Hand Of King). Of course, I already have Spider Rune required for some of those biomes.
@@roma540 Actually it spawns from 0BC but the route required to collect all Moonflowers AND reach the biome with Acceptance is only possible with 3BC doors
Honestly, I can see how aspects can be super useful when you're hunting for blueprints accessible on higher BCs. Especially since one of the skill slots is locked with Hunter's Grenade and you really don't need another boss cell.
One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is that the toxin lover aspect works with corrosive cloud, which allows for consistent, if slow, healing anywhere without having to worry about searching for an affix or going to the sewers. Blood drinker's still better tho
Yep, you even don't have to worry about malaise increasing since you can just heal in a shop or by a treasure chest where the game is automatically paused.
It’s worth noting that stomper is absolutely gamebreaking with the Spartan Sandals. The fall damage that enemies take even from the tiny kick is insane, and can easily one shot just about every enemy and melt most bosses. It’s crazy.
Very nice video as the topic hasn't been talked much yet, I personally use Grenadier for my cell farming runs and I was using Tinker for my Blueprints runs, but after watching this video I'll give Relentless I try for sure! Much easier to face tank the whole thing than just having a permanent Tesla Coil around while still having to worry about dodging and parrying no doubt.
without abusing the invincibility, relentless is super fun. just get 1 hp going through the entire game, and you do stupid damage while dying in one hit.
I need to make a mention about shatter: This combined with the Melee, frostbite, no mercy while using frostblast, any other weapon, and the ice grenade, is an easy run. Especially if you get the affixes that slow enemies down in an AoE after thawing or killing an enemy.
I feel that Relentless is for those farming cells... I reached 4BC and still need thousands of cells to unlock everything, think I'm gonna use that to farm them.
My favorite aspect is Blood Drinker because, through a very specific build, I was able to completely break the game (5BC especially) with it: *Blood Drinker *Open Wound *Electrokinetics Because the game counts the damage dealt with Electrokinetics as melee damage, this build basically gives you a passive healing factor whenever you're nearby an enemy, which, in 5BC, is pretty much always, completely eliminating the need to use flasks to regain health.
I recently tried blood drinker and oh boi does it heal. I used tonic and ice armor as buffers and ended up face tanking all bosses on 4 BSC. Open Wounds with a fast weapon (I used sadist and later baseball with +dmg on bleeding affix) makes this ridiculously good.
I did a set with relentless once. I chose the frantic sword with a front line shield no gadgets or power ups. I killed a lot very quickly. Vampirism sounds like a great idea.
A good ground slam build is using the shovel knight king scepter or whatever it’s called and after hitting the enemy, going down for a slam. It’s insanely satisfying to do, and if you combine it with oil and flame it’s like a fluid combo
Menagerie also deserves to be in the great tier imo. The safest way to use it is w Mushroom Boi and the leghugger since those 2 dont go away if u get hit like owl or if you dont pop the marks with serenade. Esp in a tactics builds, having 3 times the normal damage (if we're not counting bonus damage affixes) means you kinda instakill everything on any BSC. Your skills will be pretty useless, but imo its the 2nd best after Relentless because it gives you the most damage out of all aspects.
@@spanbab Depends on what you mean by fine. I don't see why you shouldn't do it if that's what you want, but unfortunately it probably still locks achievements and new boss costumes. I haven't even started my first 5BC run yet, but I really wanna do it without aspects because if you manage your Malaise, there's nothing special about 5BC
as a begginer i've come up with some (basic) builds for shatter and superconductor but idk if they are well known or not. for Shatter a Broadsword with +175% to enemies with freeze and (obviously) anything that will freeze the enemy (i reccommed Frost blast instead if Ice grenade bc it has no cooldown). for Superconductor the electric Whip and a Blood Sword with *Bleeding Causes Posioning* you can also use the Wolf trap but thats up to you. For this one the Whip is more useful for clearing out rooms with lots of enemies
@@VIady you should check the end of my best survival builds vid for a VERY easy build to no hit on the Spoiler boss :) sorry to plug my $#!+ on another channel... but that kind of came up organically.
I wish aspects were less impactful, but didn’t prevent obtaining new boss cells. If they were, they’d feel like a useful and noticeable starter mutation without being game changing to the point of feeling cheaty.
Love your videos man keep it up. Off topic question here how important do you think having legendary forge maxed is to complete 5bc? I have it at 50% for the last tier I'm wondering if I should spend time farming to max it or just try to complete 5bc with it as is
I think if you can switch em out like mutations, then they would be 10x better. Toxin lover would only be viable on the sewer biomes, and the speed aspect only good for that dark biome where you need light. Rn, Firestarter cursed and Superconductor are my three favorite aspects. Those are the ones I normally run.
0:35 Which part makes sense? The description doesnt say that you cant earn flawless achievements. I thought trophies were bugged with that. They should add this in the description instead of wasting a run and our time.
Try trident, blood drink and bleed bro, since the trident second combo do like more than ten hit I literally tank hand of king and the queen by spam charge and be technically immortal, it's 5 bcs and I just spam it through biome taking who know how many hit and still full like I'm brand new 🤣.if you didn't buy the dlc bone still cool but if you want to be immortal you know it my boy.
In many of my runs I skip cursed chests because I am not confident with it, I just want to have runs that get to the endgame just to practice them. I am thinking about using the Damned aspect while having the Cursed Sword in my backpack, just to get me more confident with the Cursed mechanic and how to approach things when cursed.
Am I the only one who uses stomper a lot ? Its just not about the high areas, You can normally jump and ground slam enemies altho it wont kill them but it always sends them to shock state making them easy to kill
i loved dammed because it make me brave for some biome that i dont wanna like example spelucher place that sky biome i forgot the name i was afraid to grab the cursed chest from those biome
wait it says that you can't get new boss cells with aspects right, but if you use them on 5bsc will you gain no progress when killing the "5BSC Boss" or do you get the move on with the "glitches" around the island
I was stuck at 2BC for a while after picking up the game for the first time in few months. Then I watched your guide and I beat 2BC, 3BC and 4BC in one go ! Relentless is so broken that it feels like a cheat
@@AcousticOlli yeah you cant, he either worded this badly(maybe they are 2 seperate statements, he just wanted to say he was able to clear 4bc cuz of him, and after that he commented that relentless is op disconnected from his first statement) or he is just a lier, but i give him the benefit of doubt.
I first completed the game with the trap one, use wolf trap with a shooting device and you walk through the bosses, incorrectly tiered it's a game breaker
I honestly wish some of the less powerful aspects were buffed a bit, maybe combine the 2 skill cooldown kills into 1 so it's either "kills with any skill will reset all skill cooldowns" or "all skill cooldowns are 1 second" Aspects seem like the sort of thing meant to be absolutely busted, pushing the game to it's limit, there is already a ton of restrictions placed on them, so let them be broken
Hmm. A little bit confusing video. You are talking about an aspect while the game says you are using another one. Would be much better if we would actualy see the aspect while you talk about it.
