I've been waiting for this game's full release for at least several months. And judging by what happens, I do believe there's more secrets after the first true completion. And NOT getting killed by Hentai Santa Claus.
Ok, I guess I'll have to butt in with the surprising amount of views and its hundreds of comment complaints about the two minutes of jumping around after the boss. The answer is: I had no clue what was supposed to happen. I imagined I'd actually talk to the king who has some kind of monologue, but instead I was jumping around to find some way to trigger the next event. My "instant money" instincts made me believe that I'd just turn the unwanted weapon into money and move on. I didn't read that it could break the King's shield nor did I realize I needed it. And since I was an early access player, it was a force of habit to just leave it behind.
doing one stat is the best option, the reason he even got to lvl 7 survivability is because there are minotaur scrolls where you can't upgrade brutality
i realize that i have to pick that weapon since i saw *can't sell* word on its description and yes...that word *can break shield* is really make sense.
Yeah, it was kind of a bs ending, but considering that even the Beheaded points out “Why didn’t anything change?! What does it mean?!” means that it probably does mean SOMETHING. Maybe there’s more to the ending than we realize? Maybe I’m just getting my hopes up.
Yes its the devs way of not making an actual ending but to lure you into the same repetitious game over and over to find out that the game just has no ending
That symmetrical lance, though... Level 10, +150% damage, breaks shields, +300% damage, 110k critical damage! I'd like to see a NG+ with that weapon, just for the fun of watching every boss killed with one hit! :D
I didnt know what you were doing until i realized you might have been looking for a way to not kill the king, sucks that you have to in order to move the story along
The main character is actually the king. If you jump out of your body with the homoculous rune after destroying the shield you have an option to possess the king. Which basically confirms that you are the king, as he says his original host isn't in the best condition, the last giant also refers to him as my king. Possessing the king unlocks the king outfit (which has a HEAD!!!) and the TRUE, TRUE ending.
I beat this guy in one sitting. Died a couple times in the beginning then got the freeze attack so I speced into brutality and vampire lifesteal and used whatever super strong weapon I could find (big colossal sword, and settled on the flint hammer) and literally just bonked my way to the end. Didn't use a healing potion once.
Some comments are stupid as hell that I couldn't resist doing this : he knew what to do with the lance considering the hand of the king didn't drop jack-shït and he had hayabusa crap at the end
I didnt even play dead cells but when he was passing by lance it said ‘can break shield’ and I knew EXACTLY what you had to do. Took him pretty darn long

Soooo... where is the story to this game I'm on two cells and there's like 10 percent of the story and I'm not finding any more :0 I m got a VIII weapon as well which was really odd :s
AFter over 9000 deads, i finally killed the hand of the king.... i thought i got to fight the king next but noooooooooo, its send me back to the fking begining, there better be a 2nd part or iam going to burn this earth down
That's the point of the game. You get sent back to the beginning after every ending. The only thing changes is the difficulty and you get new stuff. It's less of a story but more gaming.
FinalHeroes well, it's also required for some secret rooms, with out of reach buttons, since your head can press them. Combat-wise, it deals DoT and roots for a short time to one enemy. It pairs really well with Hokuto.
I used hokutos bow (A really fkn nice one) Barricade cards( the one that makes lighting ball around you) lighting speed 17 brutality if I remember correctly and Rapier. At second and third phrase boss doesn't attack you until you kill elite minions so I didn't kill elite ones and healed and then killed. The only times that you can heal in HOTK is those times. Don't even try to stop between fight you can't do it even if it's 0.5 second. I used hokutos and my lighting balls hitting him triggered hokkutos curse and made 1300 damage every 0.5 sec. And my rapier was crazy af. At my third or fourth try I finished it. My best advice for starters. Put every scroll into brutality don't even care about HP, there will be guardians scrolls where you can get survival or tactics but whenever you can choose brutality choose it. That's the only reason I raped the boss. And hattoris katana and rapier are best swords for early game.
I assume this was the first time you beat it? I find that weird because of how much stuff you already have cuz I barely had anything when I did, was my third day of playing tho
No I've beat the game on 4 cell, and that wooden door at the start of the prisoners quarters still will not open.... maybe something to do with the update fixing to happen ..... hopefully. The door is driving me crazy
Might be wrong but I'm pretty sure he knows about the boss stem cells , considering how The Hand didn't drop his boss cell might mean that he already defeated him before the new patch came out
I'd guess that he got a lot of the timed doors and went the longest routes + took cursed chests in Graveyard. 28 power scrolls isn't exceedingly hard tbh
This sucks. I can’t even play the game until they release the update that fixes it. They tried and still won’t work!... Edit: Thank God It’s Fixed Now And A New DLC Is Out.
This game had a lot pf potential...but FU** this game! Over repetitive, with an ending that they literally crap on your face..I am so glad I watched the ending here instead of keep playing it.
