I found that ammo is recharged indefinite for throwable objects if you use it through the acrobatipack mutation in the backpack. Use the boy's axe (or another ranged weapon, but i found this pretty great) to activate the acrobatipack and you can root and stun indefinitely for the baseball bat
if u roll oil on hit on this all enemies who gets shocked also gets the oil even if the lightning just connects from one to the other enemy its so nice
@@AbhishekGhosh1997 Phaser is kinda annoying with stuff like that. Like when you use it with a weapon that shoots and arrow, the arrow will inherit the bonus damage.
however it only protects you once per enemy, meaning if you get hit and wait for the cooldown that enemy can still hit through your protection. Still, a free hit with a 5 second cooldown is broken asf in a game where you need to avoid damage when you can
@private feetpics after losing the protection you will likely kill the enemy so getting hit twice is pretty rare. Unless a rampager smacks you twice in a row.
Foresight alone makes the Diverse Deck S+ tier for me. Quite literally an upgrade to ice armor in every way and it's colorless. This thing literally trivializes flawless boss achievements. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a cool down nerf next patch because 5 seconds is just absurd.
I did a flawless boss with foresight blocking a hit, got the door, but not the achievement. Maybe because the door is "no damage taken" and achievement is "no hit taken" or its just bugged.
Not quite in every way. The ice blast that results from getting hit with Ice Armor will stop enemies in their combo. With Foresight it's quite possible that a Rampager for example gets a second hit on you but with Ice Armor there's no way. Overall though, yeah it's quite OP
Diverse deck is really OP on biomes with really narrow generation. Run the electrifying orbs with some weapon with +damage to electrified enemies and you'll be clearing that biome really fast.
What makes the King Scepter all the more BUSTED is that the legendary one makes you invincible while spinning..which is practically the entire attack..
I find that effect to be not that great. 90% of the time you aren't getting hit while spinning, you are getting hit immediately after landing the spin attack.
You could rank each card effect for prismatic deck individually since their effects are always passive and you are most likely going to stick one card effect anyways based on your build.
@David Martínez using it with the poison spell card, open wounds and poison and blood dmg up is quite the insane amount of damage. But rerolling into that is HARD
Electrodynamics is very good imo. If you roll bleed or oil on it and the lightning connects to the next enemy, all enemies on screen have blood or oil on them wich can be crazy good. Maybe bad english sorry lol.
I started the game a week ago. I just met the hand of the king once, I'm exploring all biomes first, taking my time (my 15 years old son is trying to beat BC3). I was a bit disappointed to not see the baseball bat in your tier list because it released far after you made this fantastic analysis of the melee weapons. By the way, please don't be modest. Your lists are only a micro tiny bit subjective. The way you're explaining your thinking of the weapons is based on deep experience and your excellent analysing skills. I don't like to be spoiled in games even on weapons' quality but I found this weapon so outstanding that I wanted your opinion on it and watched your tier list. But you're following up your lists and I found this video... A very big thank you for your excellent continuous work. I now subscribe and I hate subscribing. I prefer to look for things rather than being always informed on everything. On a matter, I prefer searching "pseychie wo-long" for instance if it fortunately happens than being informed you made something on a specific matter... But it's better for you that we subcribe. Then here we go!
Some small corrections/extra info: - I've run scepter + heavy weapon, and I've found it does work very well, in some cases better than throwable objects. There's the obvious upside of not having to deal with the ammo mechanic, but it's more than that; after bouncing upwards from a dash, most enemies can't hit you, which lets you queue an attack with the heavy weapon that comes out the instant you land, effectively increasing your attack speed -- even moreso if you use kill rhythm. The fact that it doesn't scale with survival doesn't really matter because scaling only affects its ability to deal damage and damage is not why you're using it in that situation. That being said, the scepter + heavy weapon build is not the primary use of the weapon. - Glaive CAN work on the servants, but it's tricky. The easiest places are during the climb if you can get them together (typically right after the Calliope + Euterpe fight, they'll both be next to each other when you encounter them right before Kleio is introduced), and during the final fight...when their combined HP, i.e. the boss health bar, is less than 2/3 of its maximum. Once it is, their attacks start overlapping. You can also get it to work in Calliope + Euterpe by camping in the far left corner, as there will be moments after Euterpe's dive attack when they will both be on screen and directly next to each other. That being said, it's still generally not a good pick for bosses...but since you brought up servants, I thought I might as well comment on that.
Diverse deck is easy to rate. Put it on foresight. Change your binding so you will never accidentally take it off foresight. It got me my 5BC first clear. S+++
Diverse deck is absolutely cracked. You can build around a single card, or build around the flow of all of them. I’ve been having so much fun with it. Plus it’s always colorless so it fits any build??? Sign me up.
Wish Starfury did a lot more damage, as I really like the star mechanics. In Terraria, the weapon is awesome, but I do wish that Dead Cells makes this weapon a more heavy hitting one, as the melee damage is abysmal. Also, Baseball Bat and Throwable Objects is such a good synergy!
Imagine King Scepter or Nail pogos with the OG electric whip, without the combo attack. You could stay airborne for a few seconds, and is why it was my favorite weapon in the game.
2:46 Yes it prevents you from dying to curses. On the flip side you can't parry while foresight is active. Not sure why it isn't listed in the item description.
Two combos I've found for the card: 1: the catalyst poison effect actually works with the collectors syringe applying the effect every hit causing it to stack doing insane amounts of damage tho this may just be a bug so be quick to use it. 2: king scepter plus Electrodynamics is also a good combo as the orbs will damage enemy's while you charge with the scepter.
My favorite build is legendary assault shield and legendary baseball bat. First dash attack with the shield, u can push it with regular dash or use the speedrun dash (dash plus roll). The dash attack by assault shield make the enemies stun and then attack it with baseball. Legendary baseball bat also stun nearby enemies if u kill it when its stun. This build is pretty good in biomes, but sometimes struggle with bosses.
I’m really disappointed in the Laser Glaive, mostly just due to the effect of platforms. If you hit a flying enemy it will act like a flying enemy and phase through collision to hit the nearest enemy, but it you hit a normal enemy and there is a platform in the way of the rest of the enemies, it’s useless. Why can’t it just always pierce walls?
A legendary Diverse Deck can become pretty obscene. The bonus health from Barricade lasts indefinitely (until discard), the poison is retained on Catalyst activation and the Watcher skill recharges on 5 kills. Also fun fact, the passives work even with a legendary Cursed Sword (which stops you from using any other items), which can be a pretty nice buffer in the form of the Watcher card!
The projectile from the Starfury does get buffed by close range and usually homes close enough to get the boost. Which is why I recommend playing it on tactics
I actually feel like the Prismatic Deck is pretty strong, since you can almost always utilize every aspect of it, even when, eg, not running a melee weapon or a shield. The extra shield from Barricade makes for a decent survivability, letting you tank a slight bit more, even when not using parries or its active for dmg. The active effect from catalyst can actually instantly deal damage from all dot effects, so even if youre not running a melee for the poison, it works very well. Electrodynamics is just rly good in biome clear, plus the active makes for decent single target damage for when you want Foresight. And Foresight can actually prevent dying to a curse, at least from my experience. I may be completely mistaken with what im saying, but i myself rly enjoy the Prismatic Deck in basically every build I'm running.
Tried Foresight out on bosses and seems to only work once to avoid damage, then you need to cycle all the way back to it again, though I think it's buggy as a few times it did not re-enable at all until the next bio.
Correct. The devs themselves acknowledged that Foresight is bugged at the moment where it occasionally (and unfortunately somewhat frequently) doesn't reset the passive and you need to cycle through, though they did say it'll be fixed in the next update.
I did a few 4bc runs with the kings scepter and the Money shooter. It worked WAY better then I thought it would, but when it comes down to boss fights it's definitely lacking.
I really like the items we got, it´s propably the, I would call it most special bunch of items in an update yet. I really like the cards the most from all of them, they´re kinda special and you can do some fun stuff with it. The orbs for chip damage are nice to kill enemys faster with small damaging things like the Quick Bow or the Owl. Or for the fun of it you can grab yourself some legendary snake fangs and get triple poison hits, combine that with other poison items and you can get something that let´s you even kill spoiler in the trainings room fairly fast :D
The catalyst has a busted potential though Because it procs the poision on *every* tick of damage out of a melee attack, some weapons potential is actually busted . Best example i found is the panchaku. It hits so many times and it procs poision on every hit . So you get like 30+ poision stacks in one full hit combo
Just started playing dead cells recently and have found the bat underwhelming for boss fights. Im pretty sure status effects get progressively weaker on them? So im failing to get crits the longer it goes.
The Bat from the Hotline Miami crossover was/is top tier? Well obviously, have you seen what Jacket can do with a Bat and or what Jacket himself can do all the games he's in like Payday? Man is already beating people into chunks just like the beheaded
the STS deck is probably above baseball bat due to how versatile and flexible the item is. only one out of the four is really mediocre and the rest are just insane, especially in synergy for two, and foresight is just plain busted in normal biomes. the legendary variant of it will have different passives for each card too so it makes it all the more strong imo
The damage scaling on throwable objects is nuts late game. It eventually can one shot everything. It’s fast, it auto targets. It’s burst. And early game it stuns when it doesn’t one shot yet. Just make sure you have full ammo before a boss. Easy S tier.
The deck is pretty obviously absolutely bonkers. Electrodynamics alone is pretty much better than Owl, which you ranked as S and which is purple exclusive! And foresight is incredibly broken, especially I as a mediocre player can easily reach 100 Kill streaks in biomes where I rarely hit 30 otherwise. So yeah, it do be hard to rate precisely (best skill in the game? I'm not 100000% sure, but prolly yeah) but it's super obvious that it's S rank.
I haven't beaten the game once, for now I love dashing through enemies with the Charging shield (Im sure thats not the name) with the weird roll tech and the King's Scepter.
Im new to the game but why isn't anyone talking about the bat and throwable object. It seems really strong, just need to find a good secondary for when u do boss fights.
i think card is A+ or S- tier. at least for me i like barrier feature of it, even tho it overrides parry most of the times. it saved my kill count and my cursed ass from being sent to shadow realm so much times or it's shield when u change option other options is good too. more health to tank everything, poison damage, electro orbs that can crit well, but i rarely use them because i play in way of survive or already getting like poison things on weapons or another throwable
For Diverse Deck, is there a time limit the Lightning orbs? I have lost the orbs a couple times aftet a time, for no clear reason, unless I accidentally discarded the "card" for the next one in line. I'd like to know if this a glitch, my mistake, or a misunderstanding of the skill.
If ya all think diverse decks electrodynamic and foresight is op Then the legendary version has foresight cooldown reduced to 3 seconds And you can have 5 orbs at once Totally balanced i feel like they should buff this :/
Star fury is easily one of the worst weapons Ive ever used, I had an above average scroll count in cavern, and it makes dealing with enemies sooooo difficult, early game it hits decently hard, but it just becomes unplayable between boss 1 and 2, at least on 5 bc
Your editing is really really good but you should get someone else to do voiceovers for your it's really hard to watch your videos with your voice-overs I'm sure you'll get more subscribed if you have a friend or pay someone with a better voice to do it instead
