I saw him in an interview he said faces are related to using both hands to do two different things at the same time as trying to remember every note and keeping time. He said your brain gets a bit scrambled when you use the left and right side at once, it looks cute on him.
@@jdl2180 He does not. I would suspect he would be using a similar sound rig though. I'm sure there are enough people around who would guide him in the right direction with using equipment that Jerry did or approved of.
I was never a mainstream John Mayer fan. But holy shit John Mayer is an elite guitar player. He spent o much time dedicated to just Jerry and the Grateful Dead. He knows when and where to get his signals and he’s even started adding his own flair and mid jams with chimenti that are like Jerry and Brent.
I love the repore between John Boy, Oteil, and Bobby it reminds me of one of the great free shows in Golden Gate Park September of 1975 with the Starship. Franklin's Tower with Jerry at the helm..
Was at this show & Portland the day before. Two smokin hot shows & this Hell was off the charts good! So amazing to see the music come around like this again.
Seriously folks..I can certainly say unequivocally that Bob Weir sounds just like he did circa 1985-1994. His voice is totally there, totally pristine and I am looking really forward to June 28, 2017 at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. One of my most favorite performances was at the same venue from 1985. I was not there but I have it on bootleg. I was very skeptical about this whole Dead and Company deal. I tell it like it is. Mayer on guitar is like a reincarnation of Jerry circa 1985-1994. I mean if I close my eyes it is Jerry. kudos to you my man! With Bob on vocals and you on guitar I feel like I'm at Rich Stadium in Buffalo once again. Don't believe the hype, believe me. This is THE CONCERT TOUR to see this summer. Free the heads and jail the feds. Only users lose drugs. just another dopeless hope fiend. Bob spit on me, I spit on Jerry. not nice...but nonetheless bumper stickers I've seen. Keep up the good work guys. One last thing. I'm a Conservative and pro gun. I know Bob is not. I just remember the Grateful Dead Cowboy days with Pigpen and Jimi Hendrix who was 82nd Airborne shooting guns. Don't forget whether you like or dislike the events which happened. Always remember and honor the Civil War, War of 1812, WW1, WW2, Korean War vets, Vietnam Vets, Persian Gulf and Enduring Freedom and beyond have done for OUR COUNTRY. We might not agree with the wishes of Politicians but still do what we feel in OUR hearts is right. Hindsight is 20/20. See you 6/28! May I have a backstage pass please. The wolf that slept by the silver stream that was in my dream said yes. Oh Gosh Yes!
I was gonna say, there really aren't many bands from this era that have vocalists that still sound so good. Waters, Gilmour, and McCartney all sound pretty good for their respective ages, but Bob sounds at least 20 years younger than he is. I can just close my eyes and still picture a young Bob Weir. I never got to see the Dead in their prime, but at a fresh 33 years old, I hope to at least catch Bob someday while his soul and body are really in it like they are now.
Bob, I have deeply under appreciated you until my partner passed on 5/21/23 who adored you. @frank.rising He enjoyed the ride, and this was so our story. I am pretty much Catherine the Great. Dance on our graves anytime. 💜❤️💜❤️💜❤️
I liked the video put out by Gratefuldead with the drummers driving with horns on their heads ! So good ole Gratefuldead but here we r with Dead & Co. ❤️🌹🪐👽😵💫🙏🏻😱🙀🧚🏼🧚🏿♂️🧚♀️🫶🏼🥰💀☠️🎶🥳👻by the way tonite is Halloween here on my island but sick no candy !
Mayer reminds me of Jerry . Strumming magic. The whole band is on ! I need a miracle Dead and Company ticket . I am in Colorado Bob ! Hook it up ☺️ I will dance all night
They don't sound like this anymore (every song is like half speed now). And Bill Kreutzmann just quit. I don't blame him one bit. Go see a JRAD show. Or Billy and the Kids... You won't be disappointed.
