8 years have I waited, 8, this feels surreal tbh...

I was 15 when this game was first announced. Now I’m 23 and still excited for its release.

You know, seeing survivors living it up in the apocalypse is a great change of pace from the dreary, humanity’s last hope approach, I dig it

I like how in other places, the zombies are horrifying and no one dares to go anywhere else without the best of weaponry or someone immune to scavenge for supplies/routes, yet in the L.A the survivors just nonchalantly roam about and deal with the undead as if they were just another problem.

I like how at the end he just waved to 2 other survivors like they were neighbors or something and that the apocalypse wasn’t a problem. I’m gonna love the theme of this game already. Gives me sunset overdrive vibes

I like that instead of having characters worrying about dying in the zombie apocalypse, it's just them interacting with *"society"* like it's normal and the zombies are just a minor inconvenience.

Dead Island has always had the best trailers for any game i've seen. little simplicity in the gameplay but they have so much ambition EDIT: Thank you guys so much for 3.1k likes i was NOT expecting that 💜

After the originals, yeah I'm pretty excited for this. Hopefully it knows how to handle itself more in this one. Looks promising so far. 8 years in the making.

I like how every zombie has a human story like the zombie that got shot in the house was a food delivery guy and the zombie in the store that used to be a robber, dead island is cool!

1:30 How unforgivably unrealistic. This is L.A. Those supplies would have been looted long before the zombie apocalypse even started. Alternatively; "Wow a store in L.A that hasn't been looted? This really is the apocalypse." I don't know which one makes more sense.

growing up playing this game and playing and bonding over it with my buddies over it's cheesy dialogue and just goofy good time of zombie killing makes me happy that this is finally out

I’ve waited 4…no 5 thousand years for this! I absolutely love dead island, it was my very first zombie/horror game I ever played on my PS3. I’m so getting this for the PS5.

It’s really cool to watch this trailer, and realize how much it kind of falls into place with the first trailer for the game that came out like 8 years ago. The style and vibe between the two trailers feels very similar, wacky and fun but also just brutal and gruesome. It feels like they’ve had a solid concept for the game for a while, but I guess just not the right studio or developers to deliver on what they really wanted the game to be. It makes me happy to see it finally in the right place. Especially with how much dead island has stuck with me, from the trailer of the first game to now. Very happy.

Excited is an understatement. Dead island was the first game I ever played, I remember me and my mate watching the trailer for dead island 2 over and over back in 2014 and I completely forgot it existed until now.

Ive been waiting 10 years for this game i remember being like 7 playing this on my old ps3 and beat the game twice and now im 17 looking at this im so happy that this is releasing now this is one of my favorite games ever made. its pure gold. stunning game and it has the best story lines

I like the added detail of the zombies having hints on them of what they were doing when they were alive. Like the legless zombie woth a stocking over his head at 1:37 , it could've meant he was robbing the place when he was alive

I really like that the Trailer has broken zombies down from being a threat to being an annoying obstacle. Reminds me how George A Romero's way of zombie media, It isn't about the zombies, it is about the humans trying to survive.

Jack Black better be someone in this game whether its a character you can play as or an important side character because nobody gives of the rad rock surfer vibes quite like him and his voice really stuck with me from the original trailer.

From the first trailer and gameplay released a few years back, everything really changed… went from bright,colorful cartoonish to straight up dark toned 😂.

I hope this game is new because honestly my brother played this game at GameStop Expo years ago. It was pretty much the same as the first but in a new location.

Never thought this game would come back, but I hope it lives up to my expectations 🙏

It's kinda cool seeing the survivors in there own track without us being forced to do certain stuff in game. Sorta cool to see them a lot more 4k than average game quality

Jacob, in the trailer: A Serious and no nonsense tough guy who is pretty stoic. Jacob, in the game: British gentleman who tries to be upbeat and positive despite the situation.

So glad this game didn't die, we all need some ridiculous over-the-top mindless co-op zombie slaughtering action. Hopefully this game has some nice humour too, bit of self-awareness might go a long way. Exciting!

As much as I think CG trailers have lost their edge in building credible hype for games, this one DID do a really good job conveying the mood and establishing some locales/characters for the end product - even if stuff like explosive bullets didn’t make the final cut. A really fun trailer back when it came out and now that I’ve almost platinumed the game

Dunno how I only just found this out. I'm hyped. I remember following development news for this game the past 8 years and being disappointed every time it was delayed or the dev changed. I'm super excited to see it finally happening (and that the Yager version isn't the final one)
