Dead Island 2 Xbox Series S gameplay. FPS test framerate performance resolution graphics loading. #deadisland2 #xboxseriess #xbox #frameratetest #fpstest
@@overheatedeskim054 This game is super well optimised for Series S. I have both Series S and X and I'm incredibly happy with how it is on Series S, performs just as well and retains the graphical effects of Series X and PS5 but at 1080p. I'd rather have that than 1440p at 30fps and missing animations on Xbox One X. I'm playing it for now mostly on Series X but in a week I'm going to Berlin for 6 weeks so I'll take my Series S with me, that's why I love it. It's very portable and most places I visit only have a 1080p tv anyway. I know some titles are not so well optimised for Series S but to me at least this is one of the best ones on Series S. I'm very happy
There's a 20.3GB "Enhanced Textures" add-on file for the game under the Manage Game and Add-ons menu for Series S, I'd assume Series X too. It doesn't automatically install when you download the game, you have to manually start the install for that add-on in that menu after downloading the game.
@@kinariuu I've only played with it installed so far (on Series S) but the fps looks identical to all of the gameplay videos I've seen of Series S that measure fps. It feels like 60fps with occasional drops to no lower than 55fps but I don't have any equipment or software to measure it. All of the textures look great on my 1080p tv except some of the posters and paintings on mansion walls, they appear as like 420p from a distance but if you stand very close they seem to render closer to 720p, still not as high as everything else on screen. One YT channel mentioned the file in his video but he said he didn't know whether the textures are even used by the Series S, they might only be used by the Series X.
I came back for the video to see If anyone talk about the pack of textures. I played months ago without It on Series S. I didn't know If It does anything but I'm dowloading the game and the textures to play again.
Dead island 2 launched with everything i wanted from dying light 2 at launch 60fps and fov slider its sad that techland didn't deliver at least they added that barebones 60fps but i am still waiting on that fov slider
Back in lockdown i bought series s to my brother so he can stop thinking about all that sh*t, but i was worried about performance. This game makes me happy because i made right choice. Thats how You optimize games, even if that means lower resolution or anything.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing the options menu. Jesus!!!! I swear, i was not buying this game and after seeing your video showing that it indeed have a FOV settings i'm doing the pre order it right now. In terms of First Person games, i just cant play anything with low fov, it literally makes me sick. And every time we ask the devs about it, no one says a damn thing!
If Techland made this it would run like ass. Crazy that you can play Dead Island 2 at a locked 60fps on Series S but the older games are stuck at 30fps without FPS boost that's present on the X.
It's a shame there's not more zombies in it!!!! Is it just me that's seeing this. Minimal zombies at any time. When there is 2 or 3 round you there's absolutely NON in the background
Looks and seems to run really well, but it does also look almost EXACTLY the same as these games always do with nothing really different about it from games that are 7 or 8 years old. Might consider it further down the line when it's on sale, not sure though maybe I'm just getting old and have seen everything a thousand times 🤷♂️
The zombie deformation is a solid jump up from other zombie games if we were being picky, it's clearly noticeable the amount of effort they put into that this time round. Great looking game by any means.
Meh i dunno it's not beating Dying Light 2 and from what other YT guy's said with early alpha the combat is really satisfying but the over story was not much to talk about and it's all about slashing zombies with boss fight here and there
Okay, now I’m insanely more excited to play this, I never pre-ordered as I was sceptical how my series s would handle the graphics. Looks like they have done an amazing job!
@Mr. Boone I can't speak for everyone but for my wife and I, personally, it gives us really bad headaches and nausea: really similar to motion sickness. I wish we could tolerate it better.
