Dead Man Blues - Jelly Roll Morton 

This is an experiment I played with some years ago, trying to learn the detail of just how Jelly Roll Morton's band worked. This a more or less note-for-note transcription of the famous band recording by them. In the later section (with the trombone solo) I had to adjust the scoring as Jelly adds an additional few clarinets, but this is a version for a standard Dixieland/New Orleans lineup with just the one reed. This is all notated note-for-note and no improv is going on in this performance strictly (apart maybe some of the piano, banjo and drum vamping).
