December 1984:
Returning home after a trying time at work, Doctor Lydia Herdwick looks forward to her first weekend off in months.
As she settles in for a quiet the night with her husband, a dark figure watches on from the moors outside.
The Copperport Casefiles: Dead Of Winter is a short, narrative driven horror experience, and the third installment of the Copperport series.

Seen as Ryan is found alive but unharmed, despite the massive blood loss he must have suffered crawling to that shack, I think he may have been infected with lycanthropy now.

"Lucky guy" I don't think so! Ryan's one of them now, that's why his injuries healed so fast! Just like how Lydia turned from being scratched by the guy in the hospital. This was cool, loved watching!

1min in, that presentation is really striking, absolutely love it. Black & White is ideally suited for Horror due to the manner in which contrast can be manipulated. EDIT Notice how the call handler refers to Lydia as "Mrs" - Reminds me of The Invasion Of The Body Snatchers remake lmao The finale was of course reminiscent of a certain well known film :)

**Spoiler** The whole forking comment. lol Moral: Don't get scratched by a lycanthrope vagrant. 😅 Yup. I can't quite reconcile the timeline, but I don't know why the scratches would be mentioned if not to indicate the genesis of the lycanthropy. And as for Ryan, I'd wager he's become a werewolf and werewolves heal from most wounds, no matter how grievous. I agree that the game wasn't scary, but the story was well told and your commentary was fun. All in all, I think Professor Stitch did a pretty good job creating a "case file" type game.

*Spoiler* "Oh for fork sake!!!" Totally agree with you Scriptor13; low on scares but the story was very well told. I don't know if it's because it's late in the day for me but the vagrant scratches went completely over my head lol. So when she turned into a werewolf, at the end, I had a genuine "didn't see that coming" moment. Finally if you had no choice and had to choose, Vampire or Werewolf? Which would you become and why?... I would become a Vampire because my favorite meal is stake and chips 😜 accompanied by a bloody mary 🤣. Hope you're having a great evening Scriptor13 and that my cheese isn't to much cheese for a Wednesday evening.

@@robertrobinson8700 There can never be too much cheese, Robert. 😂 Hmmmm, would I rather be a vampire or werewolf. I suppose a werewolf, if I could be kept locked away during the full moon. As a werewolf, one could live a relatively "normal" life except one day a month. And I'm a vegetarian. No "stake" (lol) for me. I'm more drawn to the vampire mystique, though, tbh. I hope you're having a great evening as well!

I guess you're right though in regards to being a werewolf. Though you would also require being adequately restrained once a month also... So I guess that means you don't mind being tied up then? The gent in the newspaper photo looked a bit like Tom Savini, and then giving the hospital worker the name of Slavini? I so enjoy little love notes to horror fans and creators like this in games. This was a fun one!

This game is somewhat of a thriller. Love it. 💘 When I first started watching it sounded like stero. Harmony. Cool. Lots of games seem to be set in the 80s. Scary times. I guess. Your commentary as well always adds to the video. Hehehehehe. Thanks. Cheers

Honestly the 80's is just easier to explain why people don't have a phone on them. I am looking to explore other times later on though. Got a bunch of stories in mind, ranging from present day back to 1881. Glad you enjoyed.

That was a cool little story. Enough setup to motivate the events and short enough to get away with leaving the details to the imagination. Also nice with a game that has just... normal people, with normal relationships. Your boss is not an occult leader, your boyfriend is not a psycho killer and you yourself are not going through some kind of psychotic breakdown.

Storytelling wise, this was polished. Using Nosferatu as a means to hint towards the plot. Nicely done.

I was surprised you didn’t pick up that your character probably attacked Ryan and was infected earlier!! Normally you catch things way before I have any clue what’s happening lol was nice to catch on quicker than clever cju for once!!!! The horror is in the humanity of the story… these two lovely ppl …. And this happens to them and they become monsters simply bc she works at a hospital… that dread hits different imo

so once again, I gasp in a very professional manner as an unknown intruder smacks CJU across the face...wonder why you can't use your new hospital ID badge to undo the locks on those drawers rather than Ryan's card-And as an old Dr Who fan, loved that it was Pertwee cottage. I was thinking zombie, not werewolf...but then, the infected heal...I would like to see others...

It seems more likely that the person they were looking to contain was the "hobo" who was described as "contagious" and at the beginning you remark that you were "scratched" lightly by that hobo. Then you attacked Ryan, who went on to attack Bishop, since you were locked in the shed and couldn't have locked yourself in there. It's a cool story that doesn't just tell you what happened until the end!

It's odd you stayed to the side to avoid getting run over but then didn't look both ways before crossing once you spotted a / the house. 😹 Love your vids. Thanks for them. I GET IT! This is off the old ware wolf legends' that the girl had bitten him, and the police officer is now a ware wolf, and this is why she did not remember what was happening and now he too will not remember things when it's a full moon. Great idea but it not a full game to bad. I could write a lot better story to add to this short story!

that's actually pretty close to the Actual discovery of mad cow disease, which was in 1986. I was annoyed at first because it's a real thing - but for the time, they didn't have that concept yet. interesting! By the way, it spread because some folks fed herds of cows processed animal remains of sheep that had scrapie. Why would you do that. Why on earth would you do that. For what reason would you feed cows sheep remains. WHY. Edit: i do want to add, i think that that piano inventory noise, while cute once, can definitely get annoying. Dev, take note. Edit x2: It is absolutely killing me you never looked at the hand cream. I wanted to know what that was for so bad. EDIT X3: IT WAS - WHAT !! THAT IS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED Okay, i really liked that :D the misleading and the twist - PERFECT.

Regarding cow feed: Cows need protein. Left to themselves, cattle will eat carrion (carcasses), eggs and small birds. Fish meal for cattle feed was recorded by Marco Polo in the 13th century. So, while the source of the protein was questionable, the practice was nothing new.

This game wasn't scary but it did genuinely surprise me with the twists and turns. It went from stalker/slasher, to potential virus outbreak (hospital + mad cow), to government conspiracy, to werewolf! I like that I was surprised.

If Lydia turned because of the scratches she got from that homeless man, I won't be surprised if her husband ends up the same. The fact that he's able to roam around after sustaining all those injuries was proof alone. Not the greatest of games, but I still liked this. I sure am curious about the other games in this series and hopefully, you'd go and check them out.

Interesting little game with a neat twist. Could do with a bit more meat on the bones. How was Ryan unhurt when found? He was practically at deaths door the last time we saw him. Lycanthropes regenerate. Looks like he was turned by the wife.
