Dead on plastics doesn't make their own plastisol. Baitplastics does. They have a chemist and strict manufacturing standards and every batch is tested for consistency. Plus its probably the most cost-effective plastisol available. Only thing is they do not offer a sinking blend.

yeah, if you over cook DOP it will have a yellowish tint. If you cook it properly it will be pretty clear.

Great comparison, I started out with DoP and on a whim decided to try BP. I ordered the 212 and honestly like it a bit better than DoP. The smell is better and less, I also noticed going back and forth on grubs between the 2 brands that time after time the BP took more hits and consistently caught 3-5 more fish before failure than DoP. I still use Dead On's floating blend, but for everything else I use BP. Where do you fish?

Thanks so much for the info here.. I am new and have also only used DOP Craw Blend ... I ordered swim bait blend but wanted a mix of craw and swim bait...Sounds like the 242 is what i might be looking for .. I do not like the bubbles in DOP other than that its a great product.

They almost the same I use dop black label and BP also

i once overcooked some remelted zoom super flukes to 400+ and it turned black and became a hard foam.

I never remelt store plastics anymore . Most are very low quality plastic and have bpa etc

Dead on used to be supplied by bait plastics and would label over their labels. 100% true I peeled three off myself. Buy from the old guy that runs bait plastics. He’s an honest business man and he will tell you what I’m saying is true if you call him to order. Dead on swimbait used to be bait plastics med 212.🤷🏻‍♂️

So what the Average cost to make your own packs and is it a big investment to buy all the stuff

Yes the start up is expensive, my total cost so far is just under $6k and a bag of baits cost me 3.50$ to $6 depending on what I am doing

I fish a lot in rivers so I snag a lot and lose a lot of plastics and for the most part I am sick and tired for local bait shop stocking 15$ pack JDM stuff and bass pro doesn’t have what I need . I save a lot but I fish a lot
