The story is totally different when you compare the TN original with the Dimensions version. In the original, Genra was actually honorable until he was experimented on and lost his humanity. He would be filled with pain and rage every time he attempt to remember his past, and could only remember Ayane. In Dimensions, he was a sinister and manipulative man who hated playing second fiddle to the Tenjin main household and sold his soul for power.
