You know, it’s kinda unfair to include Smash on that list considering it’s a literal video game crossover series. Because if you’re going to include Smash, might as well include the Capcom vs SNK and SNK vs Capcom titles on that list, which by the way have Street Fighter and KOF characters interacting with each other.

@Oof Hehe the fuck are you talking about. I was just making a joke on how the modern dead or alive games are more of the same and didnt have anything relatively new. DO6 feels more like a DOA 5.1 cuz koei techmo are too lazy to improve their fighting game franchise cuz hey gotta catter to those whales who purchase those overpriced season passes just to see their waifus in bikini outfits instead of actually making it more competitive and making some tweaks. A lot of people are disappointed with DO6 the way how the developers are treating the game and their fans.

Hundreds of dollars worth of useless season pass and the fanboys chose to submit themselves to overpriced costumes instead of actually demanding for a more QUALITY FIGHTING game. The moment the game launched with no lobbies and a hideously random costume unlock system was the moment it died. People left then and there. The launch is when you make your impression and they failed at it. What's worse, director Yohei Shimbori stated they wanted to tone down the oversexualized nature of the series and introduce new mechanics, going so far as to delay the game to ensure it was ready for new players. However, the studio failed in this endeavor fast once the game got rolling. The hypersexuality was barely toned down I can bet there won't be a dead or alive 7 5 years from now because just like DO5 last round, they will capitalize the success behind the fanservice in DO6 even more.

What about DoA Dimensions? Shimbori explained many things in DoA1,DoA2,DoA3 and DoA4. The only thing I didn't like about it's story mode was that they made Ayane less badass in DoA3 (she was the one who defaeted her foster father in DoA3, in DoA Dimensions Hayate helped her).
