It’s ridiculous you get the engineering, entertainment and criminal biography books it’s the equivalent of carrying 27 of those chainsaws with one slot
Yo fr, when I was little I always had to load saves due to survivors dying and random bs. But I just re bought the game and found out about the chainsaw and completed the game within a day lol.
Dude, the helicopter guy was my favorite character out of all the game besides Frank. When I saw him actually care that Frank got out, that struck my heart strings. Seeing him die by the hands of a zombie in his helicopter just made me cry.
I honestly wish there was a hidden Ending G, like a joke ending Silent Hill Style Ending G: Stand on the helipad for 72 hours with Carlito and don't ever leave, and then when the helicopter arrives just the 3 of you escape. Leave the game running for six hours! Carlito having had 3 days on the roof to think about his actions inevitably calms him down, when they get on the helicopter Frank and Carlito do a Bro fist together. As Carlito has been stuck on the roof with Frank the whole time, he has been unable to do any of his his terrorist activities and since not a single Zombie entered the mall, absolutely everyone has survived, then during the ending credits all the survivors do a comedy YMCA dance, or something. Well I can dream :)
Ending A : clear all the main case, talk to Isabella at 10am the 22/09, and be at the heliport at 12am the same day. Ending B : fail the main cases, but be sure to be at the heliport the 22/09 at 12am. Ending C : same requirements as ending A but don't talk to Isabela or don't be at the heliport. It also happend if you are at the heliport but if you haven't talk to Isabela at 10am. Ending D : clear all the cases and get killed by the militaries. You won't die but you'll be captured, if you still captured at 12am the 22/09, you get the ending D. Ending E : fails the main cases and don't be at the heliport at 12am the 22/09. Ending F : fail the case 7 "Bomb Collect". You'll get it at 5pm the 21/09. Ending S : Complete the hole game (72 hours mode with all cases clear and Extra mode) Ending Z : run out of time in Extra mode.
First time competing the game I got ending C. I knew it was the most neutral ending but I only guessed at the time. I've been playing this game for the past near 10 years. Just 3 days ago I completed the game. And got the most neutral ending possible.
@Minultima I don't know about you, but what happened to me, I didn't remember the final call that you get from Isabella and just stayed on the helipad until time ran out.
Bro, I am extra level of stupid. I started the last case today and I forgot to talk to Isabela, so I went to Carlito's secret hideout alone, then realised I need her so I came back for her, made it through some parts of the case and made it to the butcher and as soon as the cutscene after killing the butcher ended, the game hit me with " case expired". I'm angry as hell rn
Don't worry, In my case I died at the First boss battle with Carlito, a was desillusional and frustated to save the survivors again, all because a forgot to save and starting again at level 6 :/ .
@@AbrhamPelaez2222 yeah, we all went through a lot of fails. Right now, I'm halfway in dead rising off the record. After a lot of pain, I completed the two previous games. It's a lot of fun when you get a hang of it!
Embarrassed to say that I got Ending F officially. I was messing around too much and taking too long with survivors and psychopaths during Bomb Collector case until I saved the game where it was physically impossible to defuse the bomb in time.
Ending A & S - Best ending and Canon. Ending B - Average ending since Frank and survivors make it out of the mall. Ending C - A pretty bad ending, with Frank and Isabela being stranded in Willamette with no way to escape through the clock tower because of the helicopter not crashing into it. Who knows on what could’ve happened next… Ending D - A bad ending. Although Frank got out of Willamette, Frank was held prisoner and was never able to share his story with the country. Ending E - Bad ending for Frank as he’s left inside the mall, but at least the survivors make it out of the mall. It’s unknown on what could’ve happened to Frank afterwards… Ending F - Worst ending! Carlito’s plan had worked and blew up the entire mall as well as sending the parasites high into the atmosphere. As a result, Frank and everyone in the mall had died to the explosion and this had also caused a rapid national zombie outbreak. You get an F for failure! Ending Z - Brraaiiiiiinnnsss!
I was kind of expecting something after the credits of Ending S: "The tank containing Frank and Isabela leaves the mall. The tank stops for a couple seconds, and Frank emerges to take a somber picture of the mall one last time. He climbs back into the tank, gives a look at Isabela, and then the tank drives off again to safety...as the zombies slowly walk after it." (And NO, there's NO dialogue in this ending.) Then the Ending S text is displayed.
In canon frank finds a submachine gun in the tank with a grenade launcher, he clears out the zombies when a helicopter arrives and rescued them. It’s all in the tie in comic to dead rising 2.
Just recently finished this game. Can't tell if I like it or hate it. There's some cool ideas, but it get's buggy and the objectives are confusing. Had to restart it twice to even know which were the case objectives.
I hated the game when I first played it. However, once I got the hang of the gameplay I loved it. Stick with it, it’s a blast once you get a hang of it. :-)
@@TheOneTrueLeo2002 Literally just completed it minutes ago :). I only really felt the need to play it because I wanted to know Frank West better after using him in Marvel vs Capcom lol I've got Dead Rising 2 on my shelf, so I need to get through that too, but I might get back and 100% the first game. Thanks for the upload.
@@gogetavsvegito Easily the worst way to play. Your first run you should be learning the mechanics and learning that failure is apart of the experience. People will die, but you have to fight it through. Pushing for perfect not only requires the player to know everything 100% beforehand, it sucks the fun out of the game as there is no way to do it without restarting over and over or finding a guide.
Ending B is the best ending IMO, since Frank and everyone else gets out alive. Plus, future outbreaks happen no matter what (otherwise there wouldn't be 3 more games) so that doesn't really matter
Ending K where if you don't interact with Kent and get ending B you have a small chance of getting to Kent's helicopter. And there's a boss fight to see who gets on it
Bro I first played this game when I was ten and something about that ending A cutscene scarred me for days. Something about the added imagery of the pilot's blood and guts being splattered on the windshield while you watched from the other side through Frank's camera.
It _looks_ better, but considering that ending results in many more outbreaks breaking out all over America, it's arguably worse. And yeah, Ending A also leads into Overtime, so it's mean to be cliffhanger-y.
@@mirtaabreu7124 You can't complete "Santa Cabaza" in order to get ending B, if you don't complete Santa Cabaza she won't be attacked by an infected Barnaby. Also ending B is worse than ending A in the long run. Isabella won't discover Carlito's list of infected children, one of which being the cure. Therefore a cure will likely never be synthezised.
Is there a way to get ending A, I followed the guide and I was in the helicopter pad, but instead it gives me ending C I don’t know Is this some kind of bug or something?
Canon Endings: Ending A: Complete all Case files, talk to Isabella at 10 AM and arrive at the helipad at noon. Ending S: Following Ending A, complete Overtime Mode by finding a cure for your disease and defeating the true final Boss, Brock Mason. Non-canon endings: Ending B: Fail to complete the case files, but arrive at the helipad at noon. Ending C: Complete all case files, but fail to arrive at the helipad at noon or by not talking to Isabella at 10 AM. Ending D: Get kidnapped by the military and have the timer run out while still being held captive in 72 hour mode. Ending E: Fail to complete all case files and while also failing to arrive at the helipad at noon. Ending F: Have the timer run out in the "Bomb Collector" mission. Ending Z: Get kidnapped by the military and have the timer run out while still being held captive in Overtime Mode (Frank turns into a Zombie). Even though I'm one year late, I hope this was able to help!
It's my head canon that De Luca picked an injured survivor and had him in his chopper when he went to pick Frank from the malls roof, I find it hard to believe it just snuck inside without him knowing.
The endings she survives in are the endings where you fail the cases, so where you never rescur barnaby, he never turns and therefore never bites her :)
@but won’t that result in a bad ending/game over if you don’t save barnaby? Haven’t played it since forever.😅

@@CrazyGamer19851 it's a bad ending yes but you can still continue on, but the truth vanishes into darkness and you get this bad ending when you extract:)
She probably dies anyhow, I’m guessing she was infected by then. Frank was also definitely infected, he got bit in game like 1,000 times up to that point.
