Im glad LP didn’t pick a super mainstream artist and picked Emily. The more I hear her through Dead Sara, the more I see the vision. I know what Mike means when he said she has this honest sound to her. She is an incredibly authentic vocalist and I love this vibe and I think she is gonna be fantastic in LP going forward.
Lol, honestly. I was like, "Oh, this is wild, because I know _exactly_ who that is." The whole thing is kinda surreal to see happen, I can't imagine what it must be like to be part of it.
Emily has been my favorite female vocalist, since I had a friend introduce me to their music, back in 2011 - and, especially, when I saw ‘em play countless times, in LA. So excited for her success. She is one badass frontwoman, to have.
Feels like a lifetime ago we made this. Thanks, Sean Friday, for kneeing the crap out of me (safely). The audience was comprised of fans who were invited to spend the day getting up close and personal with the band, who were so amazing to work with.
@@Theallfather48 Yes. It’s so good. Has major Chester vibes, so glad they didn’t go with someone who sounds drastically different. She sounds just close enough with a hint of unique that it’s worth it.
I remember this song vividly, had it in my playlist near a decade back. Even before Mr. Shinoda introduced Emily to the crowd during the new album live stream, as soon as she sung I instantly recognised the Lemon Scent lady. 😂

This is seriously one of the best bands in the world. I've seen them live twice and met them both times. Not only are they extremely talented but they're also REALLY nice people.
Dead Sara opened for The Used on tour in 2012 I believe it was... The Used was my favorite band for 10 years when I went to that concert. Dead Sara was my favorite band when I left that concert.
Same.. we were a little late running into the garden.. heard that voice screaming through the halls and we stood at the stairs listening before we could get to our seats. Was pretty blown away mainly by her vocals
Emily really knows how to work her vocal range and this band plays in perfect harmony with each other. It's definitely a pleasant experience for the ears haha.
Came here from the linkin park announcement but I realize Ive seen her play with Dead Sara at aftershock in 2022 and she left an impression on me then. Glad shes joining LP.

Saw this band live when they opened for The Offspring in Toronto, they sounded amazing and put on a amazing show..... if you get the chance go see them play!!

Love this band! First heard them when they opened for The Offspring in Asbury Park, NJ, freaking amazing live. So glad they made a video for Lemon Scent, probably one of my favorites of theirs!!
They toured with Muse.. and damn, I'm so glad they did! :D I went to see Muse and I would've never expected that I'd discover another awesome band there! :)
When I was geeking out about music with my amigo from work, Dead Sara popped up in conversation. I stopped listening to them quite some time ago, but holy fuck feels great to be back.
Dead Sara has similar sound as Audioslave Chris Cornell who was Chester's inspiration and close friend. Chester died on Chris Cornell's birthday July 20th.
Emily is awesome with the older linkin park song that were written with chesters vocals. But what the band is gonna do with Emilys vocals is going to be epic
So. Funny story. The art history teacher I had a crush on has a travel water bottle that said "dead Sara" on it. So that evening I looked up dead Sara and I've been in love with their music ever since. This video is amazing. I love her voice. I'm so glad I found this, though I'm angry with myself that I didn't find them sooner.
