@@salado1944 It also especially wrings true for Isaac considering that HE created the Marker in the second game. So HE too is at least partly responsible for the events of it and all of the people who are massacred on The Sprawl during said outbreak. His refusal to go play hero with Ellie afterwards due to guilt likely spawned this quote.

@@robert04872 to be technical, it was actually daina who fooled a unitologist to unleash the necromorphs into the sprawl in the first place. True isaac and stross were the ones who made it, but it was earthgov who wanted to make them in the first place.

​@@giorgialadashvili4771You know how everytime Isaac hallucinated, that yellow glitchy filter came on screen. Well before the Moon hits the CMS Terra Nova, that same effect came on screen. I believe it was a hallucination made to think that they died when Isaac and Carver both lived.

Not as good in what ways? I can only think of it being less scary (though after replaying the first two games years later I can't say they're as scary as they seemed at first as well). Also didn't appreciate locking true ending behind the DLC that costs too much for its length, though it's not exactly the game's problem. Coop implementation is great. Modular weapon system is great. Story is great.

Ryuzakji There's no way they could make a Dead Space 4. The story's ended in a way where that would be impossible. The only way that they could make a DS4 is if EA pulled a corporate BS and decided to hire a different dev team so that they can milk the series until everyone hates it. Don't get me wrong, I love the games and if they were able to make a 4th I'd definitely play it...but they can't. And if they tried it would end up just like every beloved franchise I've seen killed by a forced sequel (C&C4, Halo 4, and so on). The last thing I want to see is Dead Space wind up the same way.

Halcyon Industries Visceral wants to make a new Dead Space though. I expect we would probably get a new protagonist if DS4 ever arrives though.

After Dead space 3, EA went shit sideways. Since then, never buying any of their money sucking, shitty quality games. Never, ever again. Star wars Battlefront was the last hit for me.

No one is complaining for no reason. Dead Space 3 is a complete mixed bag of quality. Which mainly stems from the narrative being a cliche contrived mess. I dont give a damn about the horror being stripped. But this game has major problems thst I dont believe the first two ever even came close to having.

horror was a major part in the first dead space which is what slowly faded out by the third game, but honestly dead space had alot of emotion to it which is what I like in a game. Playing through Isaacs life and seeing what he's been through and how he is affected by it is great.

I really dont see how Dead Space 3 is well written and emotional in any respect. I see so many commentors saying this and it baffles me. Has the writing standard in the industry gotten so low that THIS is what you look at as an example of masterful storytelling? The plot is contrived mess, full of lame melodrama in the hopes itll come out somewhat effective. Examples of shit ideas: Carver, The love triangle, Danik in general, the magic codex device, the explanation of convergence, the almost entire removal of dementia from issacs character, the death of the scientist girl, and much more. Its the weakest of the three in terms of storytelling hands down. The gameplay is fine for the most part (cover shooting is awful). This game is horribly flawed.

Carver is simplistic, cliched, and utterly boring. And yes, I believe I could write a better narrative than this. Not that that has anything to do with criticism or my ability to point out obvious flaws.
