When the Soviets invaded Finland, the Ginns were armed with rifles, The Soviets took heavy losses but Finland fell into the Soviet orbit. Germany was sending troops thru neutral Sweden to Finland to assist the Finns in fighting the Soviet Union..

The Soviets were short of rifles. In an attack, if the man uin front with the rifle got shot, the man behind him would pick up the rifle and continue the attack. I knew a Sudeten German who was captured by the Russians. He was riding on a prison wagon with a femake guard. She fell asleep and dropped her rifle. He jumped off the wagon, trytirvrf the rifle and awakened her. She gave him a big kis and told him, "If I had lost my rigfle they would have killed me. He was one of the few to be repatriated. Many died in the Gulag as late as 1952.

Strange how Hathcock with only 93 kills placed above several people with over 100, 200 and even 300 kills, could it be just because of his fame? Wierd ranking system.....

The reason is due to the environment. That's 93 CONFIRMED kills. Meaning you need a 2nd scorce confirm to kill. GySgt. Hathcock had another 220 to 235 kills in thick jungle terrain where only he saw the kill.
