I think the only problem they will have to overcome is the fact that this genre is kinda a "niche". Because a MOBA third person shooter isn't a new thing. In fact, I remember "Monday Night Combat" from 2011 wich had exacly this concept and gameplay. And "Smite" is another example. And although both games had quality, they lack popularity.
That's kinda the issue for me, it's not a new spin, it's Battleborn which crashed and burned. I'll be happy if it does something good but the general gameplay doesn't seem to do a great deal to do anything particularly different to what the failed predecessors did.
One thing i will forever hate ow2 for is how cluttered the ui gets in a fight, this game seems to have the same problem, tf2 was much easier to understand whats going on
You think ow2 ui is cluttered? It’s just a health bar, ult charge circle meter, and your ammo, abilities/cool downs on the bottom right. There’s nothing cluttered about it. The ui however for deadlock is definitely a shit show.
YEA I AGREE, THIS IS A REAL FRESH AND COOL TAKE ON SUCH A CLASSIC GAME MAN. KELVIN ROCKS I LOVE THE WAY HE ICE SKATES AROUND LIKE FRO-ZONE MY FAVORITE DISNEY BLACK MALE CHARACTER, WHO USES ICE BOOYAAAAA!!!! THIS ONE IS GOING INTO MY FAVORITES TAB FOR SURE, GONNA BUY A TON OF SKINS FOR IT, JUST LIKE OVERWATCH!!! BOOOOYAAAAAA!!!!!
Is there a way to see the number of stacks for that Berserker item? He picked it up at 4:06 and based on it's passive he should have at least got a stack in the fight that started at 4:16. While the red haze affect him was nice, I couldn't see any number indicator for it.
Ok i came to check out the gameplay to give this game a fair shot, might even play it for myself just to see if its worth putting time into or not. But from what im seeing ill probably stick to tf2 and paladins
@@nfcknblvbl The honor system never works unless it's contractually obligated (and even then, sometimes it doesn't work regardless). It stinks that people do it but it's to be expected at this point
@@DeadlockAndMe this type of game is absolutely not for me. I don't like overwatch/fortnite or similar type of games. I was already skeptical but the only reason I checked it out was that it's made by Valve
really interesting to see MOBA concepts applied to a shooter, with sightlines and such, makes the gameplay looks really intense with all the creeps around
Are you tired of TF2? Because depending on who you ask, TF2 is a cartoony micro transaction filled shooter, and CSGO and CS2 are micro transaction filled shooters.
@@randomdude-tk6nm for me, it's mostly that moba shooters aren't for me and seeing as the era of arena style shooters [something tf2 is closer to] is over.
@@randomdude-tk6nm all the modern slop artstyles look so close to each other you can have characters from 4 different videogames in it all on the same map and people would not be able to tell. also Tf2 has actual thought put into its design such as making the world less saturated vs the players to aid in visabilty while all these others are neon particle effects 24/7 and trash readibilty
Who the hell wanted another shitty overwatch? Literally not 1 single person. Billion people out there and no one wants these shitty games valve, I wouldn't have attached my name either. Riding Zipline and the hand is 5 inches below the line, props to being garbage valve.
Mobas aren't definitely soulless. Not your taste it's ok but don't go insulting genres people like. Moba are descendants of RTS, they are complex games that requires as much game knowledges as mechanical skills. Add in some bit of resource/economy management. As a MOBA player it's refreshing to me seeing MOBA méchanics in a TPS. You're not the target just move on in your life and go cry somewhere else or play anything you want. Instead of insulting an entire fanbase/genre. Video games are classified by genre for a reason.
