My daughter had this strep and was in the hospital for 2 weeks, ended up needing surgery to remove abscess close to spine b/c it was resistant to antibiotics. Very scary stuff! Now that she’s home she has a picc line for several more weeks of antibiotics. It all started with her complaining that her neck was sore , like she slept wrong.
Teach your kids to wash their hands. Carry hand sanitizer around. Make sure they aren't putting random crap in their mouth. Teach them to cover their face with their elbow when they sneeze and/or cough.
