Aside from the first game getting mana screwed keeping all the black spells with no black land, was there anything you think could've gone better to not go 2-3? (Not asking to be critical, just genuinely curious as I thought this was a pretty good deck)

Yeah, it's just the nature of best-of-one. I think Kenji's deck was solid aside from the manabase, but his deck doesn't benefit from sculpted hands the way other decks do. I think Bo3 is the best way to play arena, as it rewards better drafters, but some people just love the badge!

He did bemoan the lack of Cathartic Reunion. Dark Bargain is pretty bad with little GY-matters cards. He had lots of Bugs, which are an unexciting mana sink late game; but can't solve a 6/6 on their own. Most of the inevitability in Ikoria is found in blue commons like Otter & the looter.

His deck definitely could’ve used a reunion. I actually like bushmeat poacher more than otter or facet reader.

Once again we see the most powerfull decks are those who have the means to counter variance. Seeing this monster loosing 2 games to lands is a humbling experience.
