Thats a great box of heads that Dan sent you. And i also recommended as stated below, spread your vegemite on hot buttered toast very thinly until you get a taste for it. 👍🏼

Convex with bevels. Is what the high centerline blade shapes are called . If they are beveled. As opposed to the Cyclone, GBA and Aussie Dandenong , which are more flat blade profile. And others like the West German Helko I have , which is an Australian pattern. I also have a Norway BANKO that is an Australian pattern. Your Canadian Kelly, BEAUTIFUL axe btw !! Is it a St Catharines ? Really like the overweight Forged also !

Wow, some awesome axes! When I was growing up almost everyone had a Cyclone, the first second hand axe I bought & hafted was a Cyclone but with green paint..... fantastic for splitting but a all round profile maybe? Was recently given my Great Grandads Hytest 4&1/2, Great splitting axe & the edge he had on it, dang.... Vegemite ideas... lots of butter & spead thin. Thick cut slice sandwich & on toasted English Muffins. Was recently talking to a friend from Canada about this 😂 My favourite is on ham & tomato sandwich spread like butter, anotherfriend liked vegemite, avacado & bacon on toast & another is making gravy, for every cup size add 1/4 teaspoon and stir in while making it. I think Promite is way better tho

That's the coolest box I've ever seen! The washboard on the kesteel is for applying poison to trees.

It is a common belief that it's for applying poison to trees. But I was told by an aussie axe collector who worked for Keech/keesteel that the ridges were originally designed to save metal during the war era.

Hey Jeff just wondering if you are able to give out how you got in touch with Dan, I’m from Aus and haven’t really found where I can get this type of quality heads from except pot luck
