Learning curve Jeff at least your customer relations skills have been tested to the full😂 Heat doesnt help either . My least favourite customer move is allowing you to tidy up , pack all kit away then ask for something else to be done . 😢
Hey Jeff, just want to say thanks for the extra effort with setting up the camera and your editing difficulties, but please don’t loop me in with the frustrating, frugal, terrified, panicked, anxiety ridden homeowner did I mention he was cheap😂
Jeff, can you comment on the end where you were discussing the work permit from the fire station? I'm a lowly east coast man and have never had to deal with that like you do in fire country. I'm just interested in the process. I really enjoyed watching you work this job despite all the sap and the chirping from the homeowner.
Been there in the past with my Gardening and Landscaping business. Unfortunately those customers exist. Hope you and your wife are rested and refreshed. 🙏
Sorry buddy. Sometimes people are weeeeeird. 👀 And dude, you are so low key... it's great and also c'mon say stuff!! Like we gotta taunt ya. lol. No worries, ur good!
I love learning and would love to help my contractors but this is my exact fear so i never help unless they ask for it. At the start i just tell them to let me know if they need a hand or anything and tell them I'm serious and leave them to it. Have had a few take me up on it. Most don't and that's ok lol 😅
I had a client like that recently that wouldn't get off my back. Was doing a storm damage prune on a large ponderosa and almost everything was hanging over their really nice deck and involved some technical rigging. It was a stressful situation on it's own but the homeowner felt the need to be outside watching everything and trying to bark orders and backseat prune everything I was doing. At a point I had to politely tell him he's just adding more stress to an already stressful situation and to just let me do my thing. You get a lot of different flavors of clients in this industry and sometimes we gotta deal with the less then enjoyable ones to get that check. Anyways stay safe up there man and appreciate your content!
You were not wrong👍, as a homeowner who has always done everything myself I can understand the wanting to help and in no way defending the homeowner. I started out as a logger/cutter did a bit of groundie work for a couple of tree companies and switched into the Fire Dept. now retired I help my sons in their tree service when they need a gimpy old man getting in their way.🤣
@@jeffschroeder9089 I work with a new group of Youth Conservation Corps(18-25yrs old) for a couple of weeks every year, we had a trail mower go down their team lead asked if I needed any help with the repairs when asked if she knew anything about the mowers her answer was no. she seemed offended when I told her to go back to what she was supposed to be doing.🤪
The heat will definitely get to us buddy trust me these last few weeks have been horrible on me I can tell my temper is a little bit short because I get so hot and so tired God bless you buddy great job as always stay safe
The heat has been brutal for so many - zaps energy so fast. You stuck it out under heavy adversity from the client and that's a true professional! I'm curious what you use to clean the sap from your equipment - has to be very time consuming. Great job Jeff!
I commend you for keeping it real when really, you didnt have to. Ive had a few of those jobs as well since i started solo treework. Keep the best treework content on youtube coming. Great job Jeff!
Jeff, that intro was perfect,. I’m 14months into tree trimming/climbing for a large company, where I’m told I could work faster, like some other guys who take on more risk and break more stuff. Your perspective was helpful to hear.
@@stupidehumanite several big branches broke out of this tree in the last several months so the golf course decided to have it cut down and plant something else
@@jeffschroeder9089 yeah I know you were on a golf course I’m talking about the field/fields. If that’s a golf course that would be the most boring golf course in the world. I’m talking about the property next to the golf course.
You should talk to @ThorenBradley and have him review one of your axes that you hang and have forged he has a lot of followers. That way you would get more viewers on your channel especially in the ax department just a thought
@@jeffschroeder9089 I will be honest I think most of his followers are horny ol woman🤣 I would still check them out though he’s got like millions of followers
@@jeffschroeder9089 huh I’ve seen every one of your videos except for a couple ax ones I don’t do much chopping and I’ve never really seen any time lapse🤔
