qhayze A classic that definitely helped define the sound of the genre going forward. You can hear a lot of similar sound engineering used even now in 2020.
@@augustturner3987 Noisia was becoming the gold standard for sound design around this time. I definitely subscribe to the narrative that Noisia kept setting the bar really high. As such, the DnB producers have treated Noisia's sound design as the new standard. Their mix on UKF sounds modern even today, and that was a decade or so ago. They were ahead of their time, in my opinion, back then.
So damn true. Every time I get drunk and want some real bangers, I search for whatever they've remixed or produced. I wish they remixed even more songs. They have the wildest remixes out of all people who do remixes, that I know of. (If you know other wild remixes that deviate quite largely from the source but still WORK, let me know!)
This song sounds like it came out 2015-2018, yet it came out in 2011, almost a dozen years ago. :) Dubstep is hit or miss, but this is a straight up banger. 11/10
Was amazing to hear this song during the Cube show at the Sensation Festival in Sydney 1 year ago. Whole crowd singing to the song was a fantastic moment.
as someone who very much isxnt a dub step kid anymore, coming back to this 10 years later this shit still bumps. sonically its super interesting unlike a lot of dubstep that I used to listen to. it sounds silly to call dubstep subtle, but this smacks you in the face but still has some really cool subtle nuances. like that little thing, in the context of the song at 4:20 (of course) makes me make a face that I cant help. im impressed. again.
Deadmau5 dropped this at his most recent cube v3 tour in seattle... at first I was like, hold up this isn't the original drop? and then the drop came and I was headbanging... best time ever
I don't normally listen to dubstep but when i do i prefer to listen to the ones that don't sound like simulated constipation. (this song is the best dubstep song)
I enjoyed this better then the original but they are both amazing. I just wanted to point out that when the bass drops and the female vocalist says "how dose it feel now to watch it burn" I kind of see it like this: She has been in a war for a long period of time. As the leader of her alliance and or militants she has gone insane from what her fellow enemies had done (such as murder and bombings) to them. She finally decided, after so long, that she would get her revenge and destroy everything and everyone not on her side. I know it's not very detailed but I'm just being creative :3
One of my all-time favourite high school tracks! Finished high school in 2012, and today I celebrate my 30th anniversary... a timeless classic and a banger in 2024 as well.
im glad people are coming back to this era of electronic music, makes me feel less alone that i'm immersing myself in deep nostalgia. happy 30th, and happy 2024.
When I listen to this song I imagine like taking too many tabs of acid and i think im like in a beehive and theyre all swarming for the dubstep part......then for the calmer part theyre just buzzing along as you fade away from existence ever so slowly
Man Noisia always makes some amazing work, they really need to do some more dubstep though. I mean, I could listen to their DnB all day, I just feel they should make another song like Tommy's Theme, just my opinion.
both tracks are amazing and you can't really compare them, they are so different. Imo the superior one depends on my mood for the day. Still happy to have both those amazing artists on a single track ^^
Teknian - Behemoth Joe Ford - Culture Mark Knight - Nothing Matters (Noisia remix) Badklaat - Colossus Whether or not you think they're heavier is subjective but they're pretty similar
Forgot to mention, check out pretty much every Chasing Shadows track ever. Used to be the kings of drops and imo they're still untouchable. And also, Killsonik - Walrus Hope I helped :)
Not only that but I didn't realize it wasn't the original and when I heard the buildup I was like "wtf" and then when it dropped I was not disappointed.
