Haha im glad im not the only one who does this i always gotta quicksave to see all the outcomes telltale games are the worst tho cant skip those cutscenes
I think the music in the theatrical version is better as well. Both as far as the quality of the songs and as songs suited for the particular scenes that they are played in.
@@pragmaticmero686 panchi take on me es mucho mejor que la otra canción que le pusieron, además estaba sonando en el apartamento antes de que la asesinasen así que tiene más sentido
@@MarpyPlarpy I have that version. I was thinking “wait I know the jokes from both of them” never watched it in the cinema and only bought the DVD once.
The video only covered changed lines from the original. It didn't include the new scenes. The Yakuza bathhouse scene was extended, there's an attempted suicide montage, and baby Hitler at the end.
One of the rare times a theatrical version is superior to the directors cut. The jokes and music were way better in the finished product. This is what having good producers can do for a movie.
Or he’s gonna go back to end game and snap instead of tony but only Peter knows who he is because he watched deadpool 1&2 and Pete is like “he will heal In a few minutes
It kinda bums me out that this is most likely the last time we’ll ever see Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine again. 1 year later Ryan Reynolds: “Hey Hugh, you wanna play Wolverine one more time?” Hugh: “Sure Ryan.”
I like how in the super duper cut with the wolverine scene, they moved deadpool's arm higher so he actually shoots in the direction of the head, instead of shooting the legs
@Michael Kiely when he arrives back after failing to kill the guy in the safe room, the song is playing in the background. It's is very subtle but it is playing and that's why I thought it was so special.
A few scenes from the Super Duper Cut are good but Theatrical Cut is way better, especially the final fight at the mutant orphanage. Welcome to the party and Take On Me fits those scenes a million times better than those other songs
The theatrical music is a lot better and most of the replaced jokes are better theatrically as well. There are some aspects I really liked from the Super Duper Cut, though, like the suicide montage, the extended X-Force interviews, and the Baby Hitler scene to name a few. Overall, I'm just happy to have two different versions.
@@DanielMazz No, there are some scenes missing. This shows the differences in the scenes that are included in the Theatrical Cut but are changed in the Super Duper Cut. I'd imagine the majority of the extra scenes can be found on RU-vid if you look hard enough.
after watching both versions, i personally prefer the super duper cut, the pacing, music, and overall feel is more enjoyable, even if some of the jokes aren't quite as good
Literally the one part that made my day of this video was the super duper cute's version of the ending when wade kills himself LMFAO, IVE ALWAYS been a huge wolverine fan and just seeing them have hugh jackman actually acknowledge what he said is like one of the greatest things i saw in the video, cuz its like he knows what he's talking about even though hes not the one who breaks the fourth wall 😂
Idk i like all the stuff it added. Only thing i really agree on with that is the take on me being played. That was 10/10. I do love all the jokes about fox in the super duper cut. The disney deal must have inspired the cracks
Wait until Deadpool 3 where all of Deadpool's time traveling shenanigans have consequences and he lives in an alternate universe with his now alive girlfriend, Wolverine is still alive after the movie Logan, and Green Lantern movie doesn't exist because Ryan Reynolds is dead. Yes. A Marvel version of DC's Flashpoint starring Deadpool.
@@RandomL0s3r in that case there is only one b movie actor that I can think of that would be suitable for the part- Bruce Campbell from the Evildead/Army of Darkness franchise.
@@RandomL0s3r You know, I'm still wanting them to get Keira Knightley to play Cable for just one scene (possibly another DP stabbed through the brain scene).
I'm realizing that some of the "jokes" are just Deadpool saying anything because the writers think it's automatically funny if he speaks during the scene.
Well, the entire point of Deadpool isn't that he's funny. It's that he's annoying, which when pairing him with the rest of the superheros who are serious (relatively within their own respective universe) is a hilarious contrast. Deadpool IS NOT A COMEDIAN. He's the MERC WITH THE MOUTH
I do not think most of Deadpool's jokes are even written. I think it is whatever comes out of his mouth. If it fits the scene and is not too much to piss off some thin-skin Twitter Twit...then again they spent 8 years years calling everything racists and supporting Pedophiles. They would get offended by a funny and yet harmless joke. Deadpool likely kill them for the Pedophile part for free. All to help humanity. Plus make him look better and get better contract deals. Maybe be with other X-Men and an older Spider-Man. As Deadpool thinks of the welfare of children. Buy his merch. Buy it now.
That was likely "Once Upon A Deadpool" which was a PG13 cut, which took some bits from the theatrical, some bits from the Super Duper, and added in new "Princess Bride" scenes with Fred Savage... and in my opinion, just as funny down to Deadpool being in charge of most the censoring. It is available online, if you know where to look 😉😉
I just realised that post-credit scene in the Super Duper Cut is actually foreshadowing for Deadpool 3 when Hugh Jackman comes back one last time as Wolverine! Also, this whole video made me realise how much you get with the blu-ray of this film. Literally two different cuts entirely. Not just an extra scene here and there, completely alternate scenes throughout. Love it! 😅
Never realized just how much I'd appreciate the "Bluray + Digital" copy I bought at Best Buy came with both the Theatrical AND Super Duper cuts. Now all I'm missing is the Princess Bride cut.
Once upon a Deadpool is not worth your time. Aside from the scenes with Fred Savage, there's nothing new. It's just a shit version of Deadpool 2 with the sweating and violence censored
@@Slapstick_Editz Ohhh looks like someone is getting a little jelly belly... *boops your nose so hard your head falls HAPPY NOW!? Look what you've done!
That is mad confusing, because when I saw it in my local theater, there were elements from both cuts. Some scenes were from the Theatrical Cut, some from the Super Duper Cut. Like the theater got both and remixed it, lol.
I prefered welcome to the party background when colossus is fighting the juggernaut makes it feel like a grounded dirty street fight vibe also "Take on me" fits a lot more with wade's reuniting with Vanessa scene.
I usually always prefer extended cuts of films, but this actually changed the movie. The removed a lot of great jokes, replaced songs, and made certain gags run too long, thus compromising the joke (remember the Matt Damon cameo?)
For anyone wondering, the "light reading" was a book called "The Canadian Mounted". Look it up, interesting little rabbit hole, surprisingly wholesome.
Idk why, but when I watched Deadpool 2 theatrical cut in cinema 4 yrs ago, it somehow had Wolverine conversation from Super Duper Cut. Anybody had it too?
@@jetbot33 That was actual footage from when they shot that movie, but it was bits that they didn’t use. (I think it was Hugh Jackman responding to the director.)
The trailer sadly still has the best version of Deadpools response after "blocking" Cables bullets. The delivery and line overall is just so much better compared to both the theatrical and super duper cut
It's pretty difficult to find some theatrical cut versions of Deadpool 2 on RU-vid. But the Super Duper Cut has some good scenes like Domino's interview, fast bullets, and the time travel scene.
"Good luck bringing her back, fuckheads!" 😂 The only change I didn't like was the film replacing the songs during the fight scene and the heaven scene. Other than that, I like the super duper cut.
You forgot about the polar bear and jumping off the roof suicide. One of the best jokes is when that lady says I can't believe he's not dead and Deadpool says I can't believe you left the house in that shirt.
yeah most of these joke sucks... that bit with the moped. "who couldve predicted these high winds" priceless. now it's a lazy weed joke? i also liked the bit where dead pool wqs posing on his own finger but they replaced that with a gun... did anything creative get replaced with a lazier joke?
I have to say, pretty much every alternate line is better in the theatrical cut. Also the actual additions to the long cut, like the early scenes with Russell, or the extended bathhouse massacre, just make the pacing feel clunky. It feels like a rough cut that needs refined. The theatrical flows more like a finished movie, and the jokes land better. I can see why the actual filmmakers chose to do their commentary for the theatrical version. If anything, the extended cut makes me appreciate the theatrical more.
Sad truth about many extended/alternate cuts. We went through a phase for many years where the novelty of "A longer version with more scenes" was ONLY ever seen as a good thing. Extra character development and world-building were exclusively praised as positive additions to the films. Not realizing that they often come at a cost of ruining or throwing off the pacing, or simply adding in material that, while fun or interesting, is not a NET POSITIVE for the overall movie. A scene that is good in and of itself does not automatically make the overall movie better by being in it. The Extended Editions of the Lord of the Rings are my most controversial examples of this. People have used the EEs as the "Default" for so long that they forget how incredibly well paced and perfected the theatrical cuts are....people have completely forgotten what it is like to watch a LOTR movie that isn't padded out to 4 hours.
Ryan, if you're reading this, we need the hidden cam footage of you sitting hugh down to watch that end scene "say yes" and you say "Well, the time is now wolvie."
The super duper cut has a few added scenes. You get an extended cut of that fight sequence in the beginning where Wade is killing all those people around the world. Also, you get a little more of Russell at the Mutant are bad people shelter.
It's additional footage from the take used in the 2009 Wolverine movie. Hugh saying 'Oh... Right' was probably him reacting to the director's instructions while the camera was rolling.
The worst thing they did in Theatrical Cut was removing the montage of DeadPool trying to off himself multiple ways while "Love Hurts" is playing in the background. It was hilarious in a weird way and I was utterly disappointed when I was rewatching this movie and found out this scene was cut. Also, "Fight Dirty" fits the fight with Juggernaut better, in my opinion.
