I didn't spend much time on Deadstorm Pirates, but I hope with the upcoming sequel, Namco starts making more rail shooters. Crazy to think that Time Crisis 5 was eight years ago.
This game was so nostalgic for me. For some reason, I always thought it was a POTC game and even got confused by events that didn’t happen in the movies I watched later because they were different in the game.
Sadly don't count on console ports for these games happening these days anymore. I'm almost kind of surprised that Namco actually released the original Deadstorm Pirates, and Razing Storm on PS3, which I can't quite say expected until it actually happened too! Aside from them wanting to keep such games arcade exclusive so they'll continue to make money (even if arcades will never be the places to be like they were back in their heyday), the other problem is with light gun games not exactly being well suited for home use, due to lack of viable controllers for such games, which also don't exactly translate very well to HDTV's for that matter either.
@@freakyfornashAs well as much more prominent reliance on VR. At least we got the Nintendo Switch with the gyro joy cons and the PlayStation 4/5 with the PlayStation Move or Aim Controller plus PlayStation Eye and even the PC with mouse that could potentially do the job for light gun games
@@jodyposey9558 Yeah, but good thing for my Arcade One system, which is something that I can now play many of the newer modern day light gun shooters on! Though I wonder when this game is finally coming out for the arcades with that being said though? Haven't heard much about it as of late.
