Hey everyone! Please turn on closed captions to watch this video! (Little【CC】button in the lower right corner of the video!)
This is a condensed video where Ben shares a little about his experience with hearing aids. Even though Ben has spent many years taking speech therapy, he never learned how to "hear" with his hearing aids. He can take in a higher quality of sound but can't distinguish one sound from the other, nor can he understand what someone is saying if he is just listening. Therefore, he doesn't wear them anymore. It took me a long time to understand how Ben can speak but not understand being spoken to, so we will have a video about his speech therapy experience in a future video. Hope you enjoy learning a little more about Benny Boy, I know I did.
Let us know about your experience with hearing aid devices in the comments below!

My boyfriend Necoas is Deaf, but he doesn't wear his hearing aids much. He doesn't wear them at church because he says the music is loud.

Just in case you were curious, there is a nerve that runs through the ear canal and if it’s stimulated, like by putting in a hearing aid, it can cause you to cough! It’s called the Arnold’s nerve cough reflex

Have you ever tried wearing Ben's HAs? He could turn them down, & you could try listening through them. It'll be wild, hehe! 🦻😳🦻
