i bet these "anime" will be shit, simply because american voice actors are really bad, with a few exceptions of course. But still this can be a good thing, if netflix turns their "anime" really popular, there will more people wanting to be voice actors and then, maybe the quality of voice acting will improve because of the competition.

If the intended audience is mainly Japan, than it can be good anime - if you target american viewers just make a new avatar or something, no need to call something produced by and for americans "anime". I love anime because it's outside of the culture I'm used to, it is bold and not "politically correct" it should stay that way.

+whathefuzizthiz Not if the story is from our contry The Simpsons Cartoon is made in S. Korea ( just the animation ) and it is still a Cartoon. Not that it will be bad if it is not Anime but I like to clear some things up.

Jose Jose but he said he wanted to make anime, so he probably meant just paying for it and letting the japanese make it. the simpsons is animated there but written and directed and voiced and set in the us

+whathefuzizthiz Netflix is clearly talking about producing so they want to have influence in creating the Anime. They are never gonna just pay the japanese studios and let them do their own thing because there is a very big risk of losing a lot of money in this project. Even if it was possible that way you said it would be Anime but it wouldn't be American no more, do you get it.
