I have a 2023 Ram 3500 has 2767 miles on it had it 2 weeks and it was towed to the dealer yesterday . Found out today the transmission is bad. There is a clip inside that is breaking and it’s taking the transmission out. Now I’m being told that they don’t know when they will be able to get the part it’s on back order. Shop also told that the last quarter of 2022 trucks build then are having this transmission issue. Beware

With fords release of their Godzilla 7.3 gas motor…..folks are starting to look at gasoline engines again Also gas engine maintenance is Allot cheaper n most DIY’ers can do it themselves instead of paying a diesel mechanic

7:15 Most Opels (GM) from that era do this, the A/C button engages the fan when you push it. Obviously the fan doesn't work on that truck, but the truck thinks the fan is working. Next time you can give it a little slap where the fan is located and it usually comes back to life.

Maybe look for a 2nd or 3 rd gen dodge 2500 , maybe salvage , hail damage, rust , body damage etc. 5-10k range. If something breaks you have a shop to repair it. Sell Your current truck at a loss and never sell your 5-10k truck just fix it when it breaks.

Stick with Ram. Don't buy a Ford. They're a headache Believe me, I was a Ford mechanic 40 years 7 threes are good 6.0 trouble 6.7 i was retired by then so not sure Unless you know how to fix them yourself. otherwise, you need a bank 6.0 account with a lot of money.

Find yourself an old 92-97 F-250. That 7.3 with a manual will last you forever. Screw those super duty era ones, they're junk.

yeah backup camera not working is the least of the problems on those Lexicon head units. When I worked at Hyundai we had about 2-3 per month go in for repairs. Damn things were expensive

About that genesis harsh shift my dad had a 2011 Hyundai Tucson the transmission basically blew it would suddenly start shifting hard af he also had a 2017 Hyundai Sonata it would always hard shift from 2-3 the latest one is a 2018 it would also start to randomly shift really hard so honestly if you want reliable cars stay away from Kia/Hyundai

You should grab the '05. Blower motor could be a fuse and maybe servicing the trans will bring it around. Personally I don't think the trans is done.

Randy whatever you do not buy the red ford the 6.0 is the world's worst engine I bought one for a work pickup a few years ago for 20k 3 months later I had to put 15k in work than less than 6 months later the engine went out a 2nd time and when I was driving to the lot to trade it in it blew up again and i take care of vehicles very well so it wasn't my fault it was the power stroke 6.0 if you buy a ford get a 7.3 or a 6.7

Hey. Dude. Love ya. Watch ya all the time. when are ya gonna sell some shirts that are black with a logo on the front of the shirt and something cool like dead as a door nail on the back. I grew up in the 80's and likes shirts with a small print on the left or rite side of the shirt and a big pic/imagine on the back. Don't want ya to spend $$ to create a shirt for me but I can grantee I will buy it. 😂

Those door handles on the 05 are easy to change 2 8 mm and some rods my 05 5.9 gets around 19.5 at 90mph holsets are factor turbos on 03-07 trucks. 07s aare a split year

The 03 ram has a bad blower motor most likely and is an easy fix! That ford is a six uh-oh and may present any number of issues after buying it. The shifter is broken in the steering column

16:38 it does go into park my f150 and my ranger both have the same issue the needle on the gear selector is just reading wrong just pull down once for reverse twice for neutral 3 for drive and when u put it back in park just put it all the way to the left

A little trick to get the blower to work for the A/C on those Dodge trucks is to lightly kick under the dash on the passenger side and the fan will most likely start working. I had a Dodge that did the same thing.

the ford is an easy fix needs a steering column that's why it's not going into the right gear i had that problem with my explorer

Trans fluid is normal to burn and is normal to service it and just because people say or rumor that is a bad thing to service the transmission after 100k miles none of it is true. Keep in mind only if the transmission has mechanical issues than then you can't service the transmission

Run from that 6.0L Power-Stroke 06' model? Only unless the engine has been bulletproofed? Friend bought a nice 06' with 150K, that's where it died, only a few months later? That's when I worked on it, and learned what a nightmare those were? Still love the old 7.3L dinosaur? No need to bulletproof a brand new engine design?

28:10 they didnt put the 5.0 in the 2012 Genesis in that model yet it was a 4.6L unless you had the r-spec but in 2013-2014 they got rid of the 4.6 option and did 5.0

I've seen dealers talking about prices coming down but that sort of loss amount is getting just a little too personal. The first Ram may be over kill but it looks darned good and the second one will need its repairs but most likely will be reasonable. The Ford had every bit of goodness wrung out of it. Great video. Hope the heat backs off. Thank you.
