Were yours installed from the dealership? 🤔
@roidorjean5894
@roidorjean5894 23 дня назад
Same for us, they put the pieces in the trunk. I don’t know why you pay a car this price and they can’t put this on, I understand for the rear one you can only use them for track day but still, they should have found a way to make them fit without having to take them on and off. Alot of sports cars/super cars have this kind of breaks cooling system like Porsche and you don’t have to remove any parts of the system for daily drivability.

@robertjakicic5878 23 дня назад
@HorsePowerObsessed No they where not didn't realize this until I got home I was showing off the car to my wife and daughter when I noticed the parts in the trunk. The dealership told me these items where to be installed on by the owner for track use only and I told then I believe the fronts should have been installed at the dealership but as dealerships go this argument was a losing battle.

I’ve heard that those are for track use only and they don’t recommend you to use them on the road because garbage/leaves could get stuck in them and catch fire.

That's just the rear ones which is why I only installed part of it in the rear. The rest of them should be installed from the dealership.

Good video! I just got my MY24 Z06/Z07 three weeks ago and I never took all the parts out of the plastic bag the dealer showed me when I bought the car. I assumed it was much like how they worked on my MY23 Z51 that I traded in. I went out to the garage and pulled the parts out of the bag and was like, wait a minute, I only see the parts for the rears which after watching this video, I knew what parts went where and what they looked like. I thought for a moment, wait a minute, did the dealer actually install the front ducts when they were installing the rakes and my front radiator guards? I went to get a flashlight and sure enough, that what they did. They installed the front brake ducts but put the rears in the bag. Good job on that one! Classic Elite in Sugarland, Texas. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for posting. Made me go out and look under my '24Z. Didn't recall seeing these when I picked up the car. After looking underneath closely, the front and rears were installed. I think I may remove the rear bottom half so my CCBs don't get pelted if they haven't already after 3k miles on my Z.

Hi. For the rear brake duct cooler you can install a screen mesh on the front of the scoop to avoid rocks go inside and hit the brake rotor.

Chuck on Rick. Conti RU-vid channel the tech Tuesday does not put him on unless. you're going to the track. They don't put them on. because when you buy the car, it's not going to the track. until you go to the track, you put them on then That's what he told his audience. And he has a Corvette mechanic only. I believe the reasoning behind that is if you hit a speed bumps, or unlevel roads, can knock them right off.
@HorsePowerObsessed
@HorsePowerObsessed 24 дня назад
Exactly. That’s why I left the bottom parts of the rear ducts off. The front ones are supposed to be installed at the dealership though because there’s no risk of anything.
@stephenr115
@stephenr115 23 дня назад
Chuck is a fantastic mechanic indeed yet Justin brings out the concept that assuming you are not tracking keeping the scoop portion off and the fronts can be done. Except right before tracking then the rear scoop portion or bottom portion can be installed. Good info for sure and I like knowing this info.
