Could we have one corporation, one company, one politician, one anything that wont completely rip us off?? Smh. This whole world is so corrupt with zero compassion for the common person. So tired of it
You had one person that wasn't a politician help the people out, but let the media and cabal ruin all that. As far as this deal goes, if stupid people would stop spending high dollar for these things that are set at lowér MSRP we wouldn't have this issue..these pickups are not worth $100k these challengers or chargers are not worth 60k this needs to stop. Raised min wage to $15-20 and look what happened. Nobody can buy a house now.
Good intentions? It was a money grab from the start. Charging $70K for a Scatpack with fender flares and stickers 😂😂 these cars used to start under $40K.
My neighbor is seriously upside down in one of these cars and I hate to be a jerk but I don’t feel bad for him at all. He’s a 50 year old man and should have known better.
@@bienvenedopendejos2453what are his numbers? What did he buy, how much, and what is it worth now? I’m looking at MAYBE playing with the idea of a purchase. Any info would be great help. Thanks
everyone laughed when I took my base charger 3.5, added the redeye nameplate & decorative wide body fender decorations, salvaged original wheels. as far as performance my fake redeye does not cough every time I pass a gas station.
As a Challenger owner and a Dodge/Plymouth lover for 60+years it's a sad time indeed. Can't believe how disappointment I feel and embarrassed how we should be over all this. Knuckle head dealers are some of the worst. Two thumbs up Video! Thanks for keeping up the pressure and the amazing content.
@@TheRedRaven_ Goodluck stealing a tesla, you would need not only the key card, but also the pin, to even turn the car one. Then when u do, the car can be tracked to its exact location via the app
@@voxtek Bro there was just a news article that came out, guy used the app, bought the car online with a fraudulent credit card, went to the dealer with a fake ID that matched the card credentials, dealership gave him the key fob and he was off with a new Tesla. He tried doing it again but he went back to the same dealer and they caught him once they realized the card on the first purchase was fraudulent.
I blame Dodge for allowing this and not doing anything about it. They can not say they did not know what was and is going on. They thought everyone would just shut up and take it. F Dodge for not doing anything about this. Their marketing ploy with the soldier is not enough. Period
Tallahassee Florida, CDJR took my order on a 23 jailbreak 807 charger, spec’d out beautifully. From start to finish it was 4 weeks and 1 day it took to take delivery. They had PROMISED 10K over and that was it. Guess what, the day of delivery, they said I needed to fork up 30K on the spot and find a co-signer with the same credit (or better)which was 752 at the time. Needless to say I left with my money and didn’t buy into the balogna that is these markups.
We run to the dealership, pay way over for a dodge just to sit in the garage or drive in circles, just to say you have a Hellcat that doesn't mean shit when it's said and done! 😂😂😂
AWESOME video and you're totally right. After a LOYAL dodge customer for 45 years I went to buy a Challenger and almost GOUGED with huge markup. I walked away and vowed not to EVER NEVER buy a Dodge vehicle again.Goodbye and you lost a customer for life as well as my entire family members. GREED will be your downfall, SHAME on you. FORD is ready for my bussiness.
I had put a deposit on the last charger year before it was announced. I had purchased 2 redeye’s, 1 TRX, 1 Rubicon and a Ram from the same dealer. The day after it was released I called my person and they said sure it was mine if I was willing to pay $50k over sticker. I passed and will never buy another dodge product again.
The challenge is findiing dealers charging a fair price for the Challenger and Charger. I think the crooked dealers are taking the car names literally.
The local Autonation Chrysler/Dodge wanted to charge me $5k ADM after I selected THEM to process my 300C order. I had the order moved to an honest salesman (Bob Frederick). Even with shipping the car Cross country it was still cheaper. Autonation guys are pure greed...
Hey Butter thanks to TK and you for making my pic of the business card and window sticker go viral and do enjoy all your videos . Keep up the good work for The Brotherhood of Muscle 😎👍🇺🇸
Honestly, I’m just very thankful that all I wanted was a scat pack with a 6 speed. Got it and saved the headache of dealing with this last call nonsense. It’s sad that this company turned its back on the V8 while Camaro and Mustang still going.
I hope and pray that Attorney Generals in every state, district and Provence launch investigations. I see a class action lawsuit coming. Who knows, after Dieselgate and now Demongate, Stelantis may need a bailout...fat chance.
Nah, this problem is best solved by the consumer. Stop buying from them, stop giving them a free pass for the shit they pull. Let their cars sit on their lots.
Special Edition vehicles should be allocated by a dealers CSA scores by ACTUAL Customers who have purchased a car & their entire experience before, during & after purchasing as part of a scoring system. If Dodge ever wants to get customer loyalty back, it's gonna cost them a pretty penny by giving HUGE discounts & a public apology for all the shenanigans past customers have experienced @ these dealers! I just purchased a 2023 1500, why? Because the salesman was solid & the dealership gave me the best deal of a lifetime & my entire buying experience was top notch! THAT'S what's gonna get customers back into their showrooms......my opinion. Keep up the great work my friend, we appreciate you!💪🏾
Well said and well put. They don't call them Stealerships for nothing. They need to do away with the dealership system. Dealers have been doing this type of thing forever, maybe less extreme in the past but same thing. I bought my Challenger new in 09. They were trying to get me to pay 7 grand markup back then because these cars had just come out, they were super rare and people were excited about them. I ended up staying until after the dealership closed haggling before they finally took the mark up off and I agreed to buy it.
It wasn’t just dodge raising prices. Only now have the prices came down and interest rates are chilling out. Even Toyota and Honda were marking up basic economy cars by 10-20%. Remember when you could buy a new car and sell it for a profit? Those days are long gone
@tks garage has been exceptionally great with dealing these scumbags ripping off ANY consumers. Once he’s started his own investigation on whatever dealership involved in stealing from its customers it’s already too late for that dealership . It shouldn’t take someone calling them out to start “ doing the right thing “ they should have been doing this from the start.
Dodge dealerships also offered the stage kits mark up with these cars. A couple of them talk about 10 k for stage 2 red eyes kits. 7 k in labor cost to install a thermostat, pulley, intake and a flash tune. Some dealerships claimed it would be 890 on pump gas for the hellcat and not the Redeye.
Unfortunately, this is all because of greed! These dealers don't care about their customers, just how much money they can screw their customer's out of.
You are 100% right super accurate and thank you for bringing this to light. Tim is bad for Dodge, and the Dodge dealerships have blown it with market adjustments
They’re already feeling the backfire. Most of these dealerships can’t move their 2023 inventory. Brand new ‘23’s even some brand new 22 hellcats just sitting on the lot.
Great show man, when I was looking for a car and realized all the maniacal bullshit that the dealers go through the antitheft stuff and the crap that goes along with it it’s just not worth it… Which is sad, it doesn’t have to be like this… Anyway, keep on rocking
Dodge, 40 jailbreak demon170s is a stab in the back to those that believed that the 170 was as exclusive as a 2023 Challenger would ever be. Last call? Another untruth!
Here is an idea. Dodge should contact everyone that bought a Demon or any other cars that they have charging way of MSRP and find out how much they were over charged. Then contact the dealer to force them to repay all amount that were over MSRP with 10% for interest. Dodge should then fine the dealerships for each transaction and watch the dealerships closely. That would end these sales tactics very quickly.
All they had to do was let the customers get the allocations and the CUSTOMER can pick which dealership has the privilege of selling them the car. Call it what you want Dodge but the CUSTOMERS are where that money comes from. Not your disgusting dealers. You but the hand that feeds you and now you pay the price.
AS THE WORLDS ECONOMY COLLAPSES ............ NONE OF THESE VEHICLES WILL BE WORTH ANYTHING.......... SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY THESE CARS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THIS DOWNWARD SPIRA................
Unlike the Classic 2nd Gen Chargers and 1st Gen Challengers, These "Last Call Hemi's" will NEVER be worth what was people paid for them, Now, Or in 30 years.
If these crooks come sniffing around for business I would tell them I wouldn't even consider purchasing a car from them unless I can pay 50k UNDER invoice. Bunch of crooks.
I think all stealerships need to be investigated who ever sold a demon 170....then they will see which ones scammed dodge by ripping off the people with the scam of buying another vehicle with a markup and saying they bought at msrp.....great video as always.
In 2022, I said I would get a Cat in 2023. Well, after talking to these Dodge dealerships, I quickly changed my mind. No way I'm paying $100,000 for a Dodge. A Dodge 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello Butter Da Insider. These CDJR dealerships are stupid. You guys are the bomb. You should get to know @TK'S Garage. You keep doing what you're doing.
I became a MOPAR guy over 40 years ago, and own not only a 50th Anniversary Challenger but a 1976 Dodge custom van, a 2004 HEMI RAM Rumblebee, 3 PT Cruisers and my wife has 2 Dakotas. We ARE a MOPAR family and I am so disappointed over this mess! I won't give up on Dodge . . . yet. But it's hard to defend these low life money hungry dealers and Dodge.
Got reamed on my 2023 , paid bit under MSRP.. no one's fault but my own. I like the car, never planned to flip or sell, but still sucks what the dealers were commanding. There are >2000 Hellcats sitting now. People will now get fair deals, if they're not stupid
Wife and I went to the Dodge dealer looking for a V6 Charger, they are the GT now. Stickers price on these was $40000+ for a $30000 car. I dont think so. They can choke on em.
Dodged a bullet after selling my Journey back to my local Dodge dealer. This was back in 2021 because they wronged my mom's finances. I was considering to buy a Pacifica AWD with my employee discounts, but sanity prevailed since there was no local stock, and I acquired a 2021 KIA Sorento through my employee purchase program.
Trying to find a widebody Super Bee at MSRP is impossible. The lowest I was offered was $7k over and that wasn't even for the widebody I was looking for. The worst I saw was at Puente Hills CDJR in Puente Hills, CA. $50k for the widebody Super Bee, $70k over for the Black Ghost, and $100k over for the lunar edition TRX. To add insult to injury, they were also charging $5k for Ram 1500 Rebel's. I was told it was because the HEMI's won't be offered in these trucks anymore. And this was all made known to me after I had informed them that I am an active duty Marine (for all of the dealerships I visited [Pensacola, FL Thompson, GA and Puente Hills, CA]). It's bullshit. A good majority of these dealers are greedy assholes and I'm glad I never bought a new vehicle from any of them. If anyone knows of a dealership near Irvine, CA not charging any markups... I'll be happy to hear it.
I worked with dealers a long time ago. Those dealers are not owned by FCA. They are owned by one person who invested probably a few million dollars in that franchise. There were instances where the dealer kicked the FCA sales rep out because they tried to change the dealers policy. Bottom line is that FCA has no control over what dealers do 😎
Imagine telling someone in the late 60’s early 70’s that in the future Dodge dealers would be selling Chargers and Challengers for $50,000 to $100,000 over sticker. They would think we absolutely lost our minds
@jilbertb that is not what is being told. He said he would have bought it and told the dealership that he wanted it. So idk what or who to believe at this point lol.
I think there should be new laws to prevent dealers from doing this crap. There are bait and switch laws in some states and seems to me to be the same thing especially if you have a signed contract.
Why is everyone surprised!? Dodge has been over marketing their brand for years - Also have to keep in mind that some of these cars are limited runs, so dealerships don’t have many inventory on a limited model. The hype over these cars is insane, people are willing to pay and the dealers know this… Ive owned many Dodge cars/ trucks but I do regret selling my Scatpack but I’m over it now 😂
Redeye engine in a Durango or even a last call cherokee wuda been awesome. Markups still wuda kept me from getting it but it still wuda been a great way to EXIT
Back in the day, you would sit down with a salesman and ORDER the car you wanted. Plymouth's Hemi Cuda was available to anyone who could afford it, sold by any authorized dealership. Had Dodge never made a "Limited Edition/Number" the demand would be less, number of units less and value would be more because of rarity. Today's are a marketing gimmick
Elk Grove CJDR is a bulk dealer, I went the last week of December to try to drive a wide body scat pack. They had 2 city blocks of chargers and challengers, still had the +30K dealer markups in the windows (though they were advertising closer to MSRP). These cars had been sitting so long they couldn't start them, even the jumpers were out of juice. After the 3rd car didn't start I left. MOPAR and Ford with the Dark Horses are asking Corvette C8 prices... even Model S Plaid prices after markups! They need to put the crack pipe down, those cars can sit. Doesn't hurt me to not have an additional monthly payment. Last new car I bought was a 2017 Ram 1500 regular cab HEMI for under 20k. F&ck em.
Happy to have my 23 Scat Pack Challenger that I ordered and purchased for less than invoice. While many others were chasing the bragging rights of an overpriced car with more power than they’ll ever use, and high insurance rates. Or a sticker package that adds nothing but cost.
Dodge should have price locked the sales of last call cars at $5K over MSRP. Thats would have been reasonable. Anything else and a dealership would lose its license with Stellantis.
Two other things that annoyed me about Dodge: 1) they raised the price of HCs like 10K or more. They used to be attainable by the average guy but now a regular but loaded widebody hellcat is 90K-ish. 2) They increased the number of options. HCs used to come loaded when they were first introduced and did for some years, but now a base HC has cloth seats, the regular alpine, no tech or conv. package, and cheap looking wheels.
As I speak, my local CDJR dealer (Walker Jones CDJR) has a Scat Pack Widebody for 63 grand and I bet money that bastard is still sitting in that showroom.
Great job send them all to the cleaners… and I believe all car companies should personally handle sells of last calls and special editions instead of the dealers
