I preach in a nursing home and there are people walking around, the kitchen doing dishes. I was told when I started that my church sent me to help me learn I am not in control of anything while preaching.
The clip of the man disrupting MacArthur is up on RU-vid. What was impressive was, after the man was removed John MacArthur turned to the congregation and began, "What he was referring to...." he explained to the congregation what theological issue the person was dealing upset about. Personally, I thought the person was psychologically unbalanced!
Excellent pointers from real life situations that occur......my experience is the millennials and their inability to focus,incessant texting and poor listening skills.These tips were very helpful.It was a delight to attend his conference here in The Philippines in November 2019.
We have a large mothers room, with audio going through to it, plus microwave, kettle etc. Yet it appears some women think breastfeeding in the hall where a church service and communion are being done is appropriate. It is not. Go into the mothers room thats what its there for and the church has used church money to build a room like this for mothers to quietly take care of the babies and young children so they arent distracting other people from the Holy Worship of God.
Learn to preach in public places, than you should not have a problem with interuption in the church. It even gets better, if you are able to respond to it while preaching.
