I have been an in interracial relationship for 5 years and it has been one of the most amazing things in my life. Since day one it has NEVER been about color. I’m not dating him because he’s black, he’s not dating me because I’m white, we are together because we love each other, because we found that person that completes us , as corny as it sounds, and I couldn’t be happier. I’ve said before that you guys have helped me find my faith again in my lowest times and that is very true, but you’ve also helped me to remember that WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS. No matter what we look like, no matter who we love, and without even knowing it you two have inspired some of the biggest moments and decisions in my life. Thank you for bringing awareness to such an important issue and I’m so sorry you two have to deal with such ignorant people. You are both beautiful inside and out, do you and screw the haters❤️

My mother is strongly opposed to interracial relationships, so when I finally told her about mine, she was VERY hesitant about it. My boyfriend is white, & we've been together for almost 4 1/2yrs, and like y'all, we are in an LDR, soo it makes it even harder for us. My boyfriend is from Louisiana, so it's kinda hard being black & travelling down there to visit him bc I'll get the weirdest looks, not all the time, but I can catch people staring. My brother is African American and he’s gone through some wicked stuff. My mom went through a lot too, when she found out she was pregnant with him.
