Dealing with Tamurkhan as Kholek the EASY way ¦ A Total War, Warhammer 3 Guide

Ahaa, yeah... winning an auto resolve against Tamurkhan early is not going to happen. I was toying with the idea of camping around the Chorf's land to recruit high tier units. The Chorf's land is high enough corruption on turn 2 that it can yield giants, aspiring champions and dragon ogres. The issue is its low chance to get them and not reliable for a guide. Unless you get perfect hiring options, Tamurkhan would just march down and steam roll. There is the option with this guide to wait in ambush after subjugating Drogan at floating mountains. But again it's chance. I like replicable guides. Ye can always just stab him in the back anyway once you have better units. its 15ish turns to upgrade marauders to tzeech spears. That could do the trick. I dont think theres any penalty for backstabbing vassals

@@CowboobsYT Based on your parameters of repeatability, this is a great guide. I used a secondary force of marauders as bait and ambushed with Kholek with a favourable auto resolve. However even with a hefty force and a decent fire mage - fighting him in battle is an absolute chore. You need to sacrifice an entire force of chuff just to kill the rot knights first.

Yeah, Rot Knights are crazy good. They should give Kholek a single unit of Chosen Halberds and get rid of the 2 poison dogs. I don't think that would shift the AI playing as him but would really help the player out.

Hmmm. There has been an update since i posted this. I doubt anything changed that would impact this but you never know. Did you follow step by step? On vhard/vhard??

@@CowboobsYT Yeah, I did it strictly step-by-step and it was definitely on very hard. I was kind of worried an update would "fix" Tamurkhan's behaviour.
