it's about an angel who fell in love with humanity. a angel who rebelled, who couldn't be controlled by God. a angel who wasn't even supposed to feel anything, but he fell in love. there he stands, crying, confessing his love to the only man the whole story was about. it has always been dean. every second, every mission, every move. Castiels love is real. it's romantic, and it's the greatest love confession i have ever seen in my life. STILL we don't know deans side.

Castiel got a death he deserved, they made it so he was not in pain, he was doing it for love he was in his happiest moment and knew what he was doing would save the world.

His true happiness, Dean. The love of his extremely long angelic life, Dean. The one who changed him from a celestial being not really caring about the world to something else, Dean. The one he rebelled for, Dean. The one he can save by sacrificing himself, Dean. Of course he loves Sam and Jack too but his heart belongs to Dean, has always belonged to Dean. When he finally confesses his love openly his happy moment has come and he finds some sort of peace. Dean, on the other hand, is not mentally prepared the same way Cas is. He didn't know about the deal with the empty or what that could mean. He is not ready to lose Cas again and it's like he can't take it in, he refuses the very thought. Then in the last moment, when the empty creeps through the wall, he seems to realize. The way he looks back at Cas, tears in his eyes, and says his name like he is begging him to say that this is not happening, the expression on his face of being utterly lost and he is lost without his angel, at least he was in season 13. They belong together, they are two sides of the same coin. I don't know if anyone here has read Robin Hobbs marvellous books about Fitz and The Fool, but this reminds me a lot of them. As soon as I saw this scene, I was like "I know AngelDove is gonna destroy me with an edit video" and I wAS RIGHT!!

The tale of a man afraid of flying and an angel afraid of falling wo somehow met in the middle. And so Castiel, Angel of Thursday became Cas, Angel of Dean Winchester.

Watching Cas let go like that makes me tear up every time. His entrance was full of thunder and lightning, while his exit was a sublime moment where he accepted the end with the grace and acceptance after he said his truth.

I'm not okay. This week's episode SHATTERED me, and I can't stop crying. And now you, with another masterpiece full of Destiel, capturing the amazing acting Misha did. I think my soul has died. Through the tears, I just wanna say that last transition shot from Castiel's introduction in the barn to his exit in the bunker was epic.

15 seasons...something just massively exploded inside me, from those 15 seasons we've got 12 which had one of the greatest, deepest purest and saddest love stories ever, about angel being in love with human, even thou Cas couldn't ever get what he wanted, I totally see how he valued every second he spent with Dean, how innocently he just enjoyed Deans presence... it is just great, and even if now Cas is unreachable, I am so glad he got to experience so much love and care through Dean and his family... Its just beautiful and so Great

The second Cas pulled Dean out of Hell he was lost to heaven, because he fell in love with the goodness and humanity in Dean's heart.

Dean saying, "me too" back to cas' confession would make much more sense when the empty appeared though. I love those two idjits so much...

I had the feeling that Cas' happy moment would be the moment he told Dean how he really feels (pissed that I was right). What he wants he can't have, made me sad to hear him say it. Here is to praying that Jack takes Chuck's power and makes things right.

Dean and Cas needs to win the Best Chemistry Award... Their chemistry has been ongoing for 12 years... Its the best there is. Someone get them the God damn award....

I love that it wasn't about physical love. I was happy and heartbroken for Cass all at the same time.

Incredible, and with the perfect song choice. I watched that scene a bunch of times but with your video it was the first time I stopped to really focus on Cas' face just as he's about to be taken into The Empty - he glances at Dean, shoved out of harm's way, with absolute, inviolate love shining on his face. He allows himself to bask in it and he looks at what's coming for him with clarity and choosing this as yet another decision not controlled or predicted by Chuck. Dean hasn't even had time to consider Chuck's confirmation/revelation that Cas has never been under his control and what it means for the magnitude of Cas' actions, the very opposite of the centuries in the making soulmates that Mary and John Winchester were turned into by heavenly machination. He's been angrily panicking all season up to now that nothing in his life is real, that choice is an illusion, that he's a rat trapped in a deadly maze all his life but Castiel is the undoing of that. Thank you so much for deftly showing their connection.

Here I sit, my Thursdays an ugly, disbelieving void, my heart aching for what feels like forever, watching countless destiel fan videos. I'm a mess. Just moved. Surrounded by boxed and bagged belongings. Soooo much to do and it barely matters. Fortunate to still have a job, though the hours are painfully less these days, I have a focus for part of the week and then home, behind closed doors still mourning the loss of a show I followed and loved since it first aired - to the finale. It's obvious I am in dire need of SPN counseling. At the moment am doing my best with pet therapy as a substitute. ...And more fan videos 💔

i never really liked destiel very much (i always knew about it, and i thought the fandom deserved it for holding on so long, but i never actually thought it was gonna happen) but after seeing it go cannon, i’ve come to appreciate it more and understand why people like it so much. this video really helped me look back on the series and see how yeah, it kinda was a love story all along, and i think it’s a beautiful one.

This show helped me SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH hard times still to this day and always gives me an escape all the while teaching life lessons about family love and life. I don't show emotion and for most part dead inside emotionally by my own choices and don't let anyone in cuz whatever they know can be used against you a theme known all to well in this show which is a shame but when it comes to this show I talk to anyone and everyone about it. The dean case familial love is so awesome.
