It was the fourth time the 1909 play The Ghost Breaker by Paul Dickey and Charles W. Goddard was adapted for cinema , previously filmed as THE GHOST BREAKER 1914 and 1922 and then as THE GHOST BREAKERS in 1940 starring Bob Hope.
