During World War 2, Stewart was offered a commission in the Army Air Corp. He refused and entered as an E-1 private and eventually became an officer. After the war, Stewart continued serving in the AirForce Reserves, attaining the rank of General. How many people know that Jimmy Stewart was an Air Force General?
