If you don't find the performance at this link fun, William, I don't know what to tell you: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UnBZLFB7kLo.html
It sure started out silly but I'm glad the medley finally gave them something to do besides say each others names over and over. They're both really great singers. They do so much with their voices, it's very understated and looks effortless, but the pitch and tone are so beautiful, really talented singers here.
the CLOSEST we could ever get to something like this today was if Michael Buble was given a variety show, and he had guest singers on with him, etc. He's one of the only people out there whose got that 'old soul' vibe and swagger.
So true.. People always swooned over "Ol' Blue Eyes", Frank Sinatra, but mee? Give me Dean Martin aaaany day! To me, he had soO much more..heart..in his voice!
Ahh, the 60's eh? I was just about to ask if anyone knew when this was. What a phenomenal lady she was.. She went through so much, and gave so much~ Thanks for the info!
Channel 9 in st. Louis,mo just had a music of the 50's program, dedicated in memory of Rosemary Clooney. She's gone, Dean is gone, two greats Micheline Kribs, Rolla,MO
i miss all the older singers and actors like rosie, dean, frank, bing etc. don't even need last names just first and so many know who are you are talking about. today's singers just don't have that uniqueness
Rosemary has just given me an idea, a comic idea. What if while she were singing the first few bars of the song, the cleaning man (a well-known comedian in disguise)shows up with his big broom sweeping the stage and when she sings "clean," the cleaning man replies, "I wish I could say the same thing about this floor!" and continues sweeping his way off the stage.
The lyrics state that she would "yawn in public" (she came across as boring), but in the living room "you would think the war was on". (i.e., she was a "wild" one and you couldn't hold her down!) ;)
