(During Bruce Wayne's nightmare)Superman to Batman from the movie Batman vs Superman: You took her from me. Now I am gonna take everything from you. Somewhat similar except Batman never took Lois Lane away from Superman.
except in this case the kid hated family, what they stood for, and refused to be anything like them. Had Dean let him live, he would have regarded Dean as a hero.
enlightendbel considering the episode already showed that Cyrus would have found happiness and peace in their deaths, I doubt hed have been seeking any vengence later. Even Cas said Cyrus should have been spared.
@@enlightendbel Yeah no, that's not how life works. Movies, often yes, but that's just for drama and not how all of them work. Don't defend Dean's ruthlessness, it was unnecessarily vicious to kill the boy, hence why they focused on him throughout the episode before hand, and that was the whole point of the scene.
You know why I loved this scene? Because for once all of them got what they deserved. He didn't even think about giving mercy to someone and therefore didn't put himself in danger. After countless times of letting certain people alive, which after that stabbed dean or sam in the back he finally just cleaned up everything... this was so satisfying.
@@RikelWirkkunen Lol. Nobody really knew if that kid hadn't sooner or later turned out to be evil as well like it happened countless of times in Supernatural before (good guy turning to evil guy over time). I think Dean's decision was pretty much spot on here. He dodged a bullet.
@@RikelWirkkunen We saw through tv scenes the kid was innocent but Dean just saw a Styne who broke into his house and was about to burn irreplaceable items. Back in s7 Amazonian Emma (looking about 16) was going to try to murder Dean but faked being innocent so Sam killed her.
@Joshua Layug by the end he was an untamed monster. Eventually he would have killed for the sake of killing and been reduced to a howling madman. Makes you wonder how Cain fought it so well.
This is the one of the most brutal episodes of the whole series. To know that Dean could massacre a whole family out of grief and not the mark. Then at the end kill the innocent boy in cold blood. I feel like that the kid would have turned out to be different but I understood why Dean didn’t want to leave it to chance.
@@twizzlerlemonpie3083 no, more like... He would plant his seeds to different women to continue the stein bloodline, because if that 4 eyes lived it's in his blood to be bad whether he likes it or not.
@@twizzlerlemonpie3083 "I try to let the kids live, but they always end up dedicating their lives to revenge or living under my rule. Usually both. So really, killing them is a kindness. I could retract that kindness, but then who's the villain?"
I felt bad for Cyrus. You could tell how much he hated his family and how badly he wanted to get away from them. Poor guy, he was just born in the wrong family.
I didn’t, he wasn’t innocent just weak. Never left or did anything to undermine the family, he know what was wrong and went a long with it. The reservations of collaborators or accessories are no consolation to their victims.
@@ryanthomas49 what? How can u agree with him? That kid couldn’t leave his family, they would of chased him down and killed him, his family was cruel and they would of never let someone that knows all their secrets just leave, there’s nothing he could have done it’s literally obvious 💀 he was just a kid
@@brianbaker2884 Victims of abuse often can't mentally leave their abusers. They also would've literally chased him down and killed him. He was given no choice. Imagine justifying murdering kids lol, jfk
that ... that wouldn't even be fair, i would feel bad for anyone that get's in their way except maybe lucifer ... you know what lets go all in on this Deanmon+mark of kain+colt in the left hand+and the jaw bone in the right Souless Sam + being hopped up on demon blood Cas with a couple doezen angels graces absorbed
Yeah he could actually play the role of that if he wanted to.(I am saying the actor) I mean when he played as Fred Jones from Scooby Doo, he also had some revenge moments like against the Black Knight.
Even the Batman would kill to save a beautiful girl like Charlie.(he definitely did in BVS because he was tired of those stupid goons shooting at him with those machine guns)
It always amazes me how many times Sam and Dean get snuck up on. They've been doing this for a decade, and yet they still get ambushed by every vamp, werewolf and two bit mercenary to think of casually walking up behind them.
I loved season 10 so much! Losing Charlie was the last straw for dean. He gave into thirst for blood and took them all down. It was intense and jaw dropping
Indeed. He literally killed just humans in this episode. To know that and watch him just take them all out like they were demons or vampires was satisfy. And I know it killed him to kill that boy at he end but it had to be done.
@@JV-gd1nk They weren't human though at all anymore the only one who was is the son the rest had tainted themselves by killing humans and replacing their part's with theirs. It's in the name the Stein's come on you know like Frankenstein.
You can't always be the hero. You sometimes have to be the monster. This is how you need to deal with people out to destroy you. Not just the ones doing it but the whole damn clan. I like it.
But you missed the whole "you still only have one brain" part! That was the reason I clicked this video.. Still a great one, but sad that bit isn't here
Bluesbr0ther that was my favourite. Even evil dean doesn't give fuck who you banging. If the man powered by the darkest force in the universe doesn't care that says a lot 🤔
@Ethan Judd I always had the perfect quip in mind whenever I heard that line: "Considering their connection to the occult, the fact that they haven't heard of the Winchesters at any point over the past eleven years says they probably don't even have that much of a brain."
It doesn't make any sense because none of you have come to the logical conclusion. Jensen may be in good shape, he's not fat or chubby, but to look good shirtless on TV, you need to be cut. I don't even recall seeing Jensen's character shirtless at all, but I remember Sam showed himself shirtless much earlier in the series, and like I said, he was cut. Jensen was in his late 30's, it's much harder to get that body once you leave your 20's, especially if you hadn't trained before.
My favorite part about this whole thing is how mechanically he did it! No crazy shit, no making 'em suffer. Every single twitch was engineered to kill.
The mark of Cain is one of my favorite stories on supernatural. I bought all the blades on Etsy. Angel blade, archangel blade, the demon killing knife and the best of all the first blade! They're only around 40 bucks a piece
"You don't need to do this.....please." "Yeah..." *Dean lets the thought of mercy run through his head quick...* "I do." *Then extinguishes it just as quick.*
Holly Thompson Dean is not demon in this episode. Castiel turns him back as human in episode 3 of season 10. This was just merciless killer Dean. Revenge for Stynes killed Charlie.
If sam and dean stayed the same 1 dimentional characters all these seasons spn would be canceled. I love all dimensions of these characters and jensen and jareds acting skills getting it right.
I always felt so bad for that kid, he didn’t do anything and was so innocent but the fact that dean still killed him showed how much the moc had changed him
Damn imagine the stories you could have had from this. The show could have become a darker psychological exploration of deans descent into madness after all these years of murder. Could have ended the show on a high note.
Yep. Especially considering that they’re both the vessels of Michael and Lucifer, except in this case Dean (Michael) would be the “fallen angel” and Sam (Lucifer) would be the righteous warrior. It would have been an incredible way to end the series, history repeating itself once again.
The Stynes were a real waste of a good villain set-up. But then again, so was "Deanmon" - the big shock from the end of season 9 lasting all of a pitiful 3 episodes. Only thing I could really compare it to was the vampire drug arc they did in the nearly unwatchable tv series "Blade". Introduced it in the end of one episode and then finished the whole arc before the opening credits of the very next episode.
Reminds me of Stargate S.G 1. They had a villain nicknamed "the destroyer of worlds". She only lasted 2 episodes when she could have lasted 2 seasons easily.
my point was, they had all these decent storylines, and instead of following through with any of them they kiled them off in 2 episodes. also, how do you know she wasn't a good villain? she wasn't given time to develop.
I replay this scene starting when Dean wakes up in that lab. And I watch it through him killing that last blond Stein but before he kills the kid. Then I rewind and watch it again. Amazing scene. I love the look on Blondie's face when Dean says, "They're all dead."
I honestly felt so bad for the kid, he didn’t want a part in this. He was blackmailed to harvest the bully, the bully still would have died just the kid would’ve also died.
I loved that dean just went all punisher on there ass. This was not the mark of Cain this was losing a family member someone that was a little sister to him. Only thing the mark did was give dean a boost but this was dean Winchester not demon dean if this was Sam or castiel or Bobby it would be just as bad or worse this is getting justice and revenge for losing a family member.
Honestly, I know this episode was supposed to show us that something had finally pushed Dean over the point of being able to control the Mark's urges to kill but I had zero problem with any of this. They killed Charlie. If I was a member of Sam and Dean's team I would be cheering him on or helping him.
By this logic, given that Sam and Dean are well know mass murderers someone finding out about Sam's kid is totally justified in killing Sam's wife and kid right?
I think this is one of the few times where Dean did everything right. The Stynes were trouble from minute 1 but rather than allow them to be a bigger threat after murdering one of their friends Dean decided to uproot and destroy the entire Styne family tree. All of them were abominations that had lived far too long and they would only continue to prey upon people for a long time to come. They were trouble and Dean avenged the death of Charlie in a way that would certainly make her happy.
Dean dealt justice swift and unblinking. The Styne's pushed their luck one time too many, when they killed Charley. They not only dug their graves, they threw the dirt on themselves, and placed the tombstone. The only one I felt sorry for was the kid with the glasses (don't know his name). He detested his family, and wanted no part of the twisted things they practiced. Unfortunately for him, Dean wasn't going to chance it, and capped him too. Guilty by association, as the saying goes. Whether Dean should have killed him or not, is up for grabs.
See main characters from other tv shows. This main character learned that leaving an innocent who is a part of an organization will most likely be evil so he made sure to get rid of them all.
" you don't need to do that " "yeah. I do." That's epic and as cold as liquid nitrogen. One reason why you never mess with the person who is liked by a cold blooded s.o.b.
