+Nathan Deadman believe me, we have lots of talents like these. It's just that it's not that popular today. Media doesn't want it cause they want the new stuff. Sad, if you ask me.
yes Nat and louis were great but the rat pack had a edge the others didn't..it was the comedy act they had..was amazing. and also..they loved one another..you can see that.
Jeep guy 1980 OIIIIIIIO Don't forget style, charisma and real, true talent that could knock the socks off so many of today's so-called 'stars ' who are only as good as their computerised backing-tracks and couldn't perform like this in front of a real live orchestra if their lives depended on it.
I will never understand why Frank got so much credit. I love Dean and Sammy a helluvalot more. Sammy did great impressions indeed. sometimes about people i didnt know, had to look them up. And what a dancer!!!! Dean was always so laid back and funny without trying... Frank i found always just sitting on his own made pedestal =/
It doesn't get any better than this ! Every time I watch this I tear up, not only because I love Dino so much, which I consider to be one of the greatest singers and entertainers of the 20th century, but because I can truly feel the exceptional love, admiration and respect Sam (what a fabulous voice !) and Dean had for each other.
These two LOVED what they were doing! Obvious! Remember when Mike Douglas would have them on his show. Great entertainment. Good old days and great entertainers.
I adore both Sammy and Dino who both bring me absolute joy when listening and watching them entertain. I only wish that I could have met them..... Love you guys!!!!!!!
Sammy Davis was the master of entertainment,,absolutely superb, totally irreplaceable thank you for the wonderful music RIP our wonderful man, never forgotten ever
Dean and Frank are good, but these guys are a GREAT combination. I wish there was more! The fun they are having and obvious friendship they have is wonderful to watch!
Lady Miss For me, they were both great individually, but the two of them working together were ‘much more than the sum of their parts’. Not least because they had been close friends for years and were clearly really comfortable performing together.
I see Sammy traded in his tux for a more psychedelic look. And look at his little chicken legs! But out of everybody in the RP, he clearly had the most talent. The man could sing, dance, act, play any musical instrument he got his hands on (taught himself, by the way), and was a great impressionist. May Sammy and Dean rest peacefully.
Dean Martin was not a jealous person, he could share the stage with anyone and was completely happy to give the routine over to his guest! Dean Martin was a very loving and confident entertainer! Dean's heart was made of GOLD!
Watching these guys singing that easy and performing without any gadgets or auto tune b.s. makes me realize that we miss these talented people dearly, I wish I could go back in time and relive those days again, still miss them.
4:52 will always get me the most...just showed their true friendship after 2 decades SAMMY: Take your spot ... **Dean screams the 2nd verse line, dropped his cig @ **4:44**, before he falls to the ground** SAMMY: ...DEAN! x'D
Doesnt get any better than this. Deans sexy smooth voice like no other and Sammy had a powerful voice. God given talent that they took it to another level. WOW
Sammy was a little guy with a big Voice and Dean was smooth and mellow. Both men were great in there time. Dean was a Ohio boy Stubenville I'm from Cincinnati. I watched his show every Thursday night. He was great. I like Dean with the Mills Brothers Up the lazy river. Lena and Dean The Two of Use. Can't they both are gone. Oh Yeah. Love to hear Dean Welcome To My World. Bob and Sid and Dean singing. As a group they were funny. Bob was funny trying to sing Opera. They all funny trying Country and Western they did a good job. Its been a Blue Blue Day was good too.
These two are the perfect duo! Maybe even more so than Dean and Frank. Sammy's wide range and powerful voice perfectly compliments Dean's calm soothing smooth voice. These two together were a force to be reckoned with..
You never see film of Sammy and rarely of Dean without a cigarette in their hands and sadly both died of smoking-related diseases. I saw Sammy in concert about 5 years before he died and still had a big voice.
the has heart hasheart point is they smoked it killed them when they got older. So it happened you can die from a lot of things. Being fat and eating a lot of fast food will do it too. People didn’t think about what smoking did to you they just did it and enjoyed it.
I agree it took Dean & Sammy a few minutes to really get into this segment but once they did it was just like being on stage during their Rat Pack performances. Brilliant !
I met Sammy Davis Jr at Phil Donaghue Talk Show we sat beside each other and had a chat I have a photo to prove it's TRUE Thanks Sammy for the invite fun day at Channel 9 Chicago early seventies.
Dino Is so cool that even when he forget the lyrics he's still able to perform in a fantastic way....Then Sammy is one of the most talented people in Show Business history. Love them 💗💗 Rest in Peace Sammy and Rest in Peace Dino...i was born after your deaths but I am aware of your greatness and I will always share your music with people who don't know you. You and your art always make my day and When I start the new day listen to you guys OMG then some happiness starts laying on me just as Dean said in one song.....
His reaction was because this was HIS song during the Rat pack Shows...this entire performance was an homage to those shows...the little hop, Sammy's brief impersonation of Dean (hard to catch), and several other small but recognizable (Dean's Fall) recreations of their original performances on stage at the Sands and beyond.
@Doug Whatley yes during the song " Penny from Heaven" was one of Dean's song, Sammy impersonate Dean for a few seconds. That is when Dean bent down to Sammy size. Such a great duet between these 2
At 4:55 Dean fell on the floor. I saw him fall in another video a few years ago. My question is: How does he do that without hurting himself? Especially in his mid 50s. If anyone knows how he can fall and not hurt himself, please let me know.
I so agree with you thanks goodness we got RU-vid cause all the great acts we can relive. I was very young when this the old time shows was on. I don't watch t.v. but I do surf youTube for the older shows
Folks, these are real crooners! Blue blooded authentic. Not about women as Michael said or popularity. It’s for the people Harry. The 9 to 5 ers. They buy your albums! Holla at me bruh.
