Dean arguably has the best growth out of everyone on the show. He was this strong, and mighty hunter at the beginning. But, season after season, kill after kill, monster after grueling monster he went after, he’s been broken bit by bit after all of that. He’s broken, he’s scared, he’s scared. He knows that there’s no happy ending for him, there is no peaceful death for him. He can’t have a life other than the hunt because he can’t even protect one person. How is he supposed to protect a wife, and kids?

I've been like this for my whole like dean but it's lot more worse I'm holding strong as much as I can I mean I got to I'm freshly married got a kid on the way and even though with all I've been through and currently going through I just hold it all in and stay strong in front of others

The scene at 2:27 is my favorite pic of Dean. When you break through deans tough, sarcastic, and humorous outside your left with a broken child. He looks like a little kid at 2:28. A child who has seen too much and felt so much pain 💔 and doesn't know how to deal with it so he just copes. The only thing keeping him on this world is Sammy.
I relate to Dean so freaking much. It's always fallen on me to be the strong one, to take care of everyone else be the protecter. Everything that went wrong the blame was shoved on to me I never had a childhood. And all that it really has its effects on a person. Every thing got to much I couldent handle the responsibility, the anger I had to help everyone else but there was never anyone to help me and I just wanted an escape. This show, this cast I love them and I am no way ready for it to end. This has helped me through so much. And although I know their actors I know it's a screen but seeing them act like family makes me so happy kinda sad to because I know that I can't have that and I have no clue what it's like to have someone your even remotely close to Sorry for the rambling I'm just...whatever love these guys

I can relate to that so much. Never had a childhood. Always was in fear my hole life and still am. And trough this fandom there is a light that always saves me from ending my life.
I love how they have slowly been building up Deans hatred for himself. It wasn't just out of no-where and it wasn't always bad but slowly they made it from "why would an angel rescue me from hell"/"you don't think you deserve to be saved" to "I don't matter, if it's my time it's my time" and "you want to die"
Dean is so relatable...the reason I say that is because On the daily I think, no one likes me because of my personality because it sucks and it hurts people so I started turning people away or being mean because that’s all I know to do now because that’s all I know, and that’s I completely hate myself and my body.
The worst part of this video..... is that I feel this. On a personal level. Every single word of it. But thanks to this show, I have found that I am not alone. I'm not the only one living in despair, and I thank you, Supernatural fans. Thank you, for showing me that you too feel despair but refuse to give up. Thank you all!
I get it. Just remember that the one thing Dean could never learn to do, that you could, is learn to love yourself. It's the only reason I'm still alive. I finally figured out it's ok not to be perfect, to make mistakes (even big ones), if I do my best to make up for them and try, try again, no matter what, and love myself for being me, even if no one else does. 💙 And I love you for being you too!
The minute this started I began crying. The scene where he begins to forget his family absolutely killed me and I was sobbing for ages when I watched in the show and now I'm sobbing again, but I'm not complaining at all, because this was beautiful.

damn, felt personally attacked when Mary said everybody eventually leaves him...cause both my parents did, and eventually my older sister did...my friends did aswell... no wonder everyone loves Dean, he's the one we relate to the most.. but like him, I'll get up, and keep going forward
Being stuck between not wanting to live and not being able to allow yourself to die sucks. I stuck with Supernatural despite all narrative flaws, because when Dean spoke I heard an awful lot of what I think. Dean's ride is like running down a mountain, if you stop you drop. So you keep on running even when there's nothing left in the tank.
I relate to dean so much. And it’s for the same damn reason everyone else on this comments section does. We all know what it’s like. What it’s like to have to be the strongest one. To blame yourself when things go wrong. To have the pain and suffering slowly destroy you. I wanna go on a small rant real quick since everyone here can relate I don’t have to worry about being judged like I do in real life. But I relate to dean so much and I keep watching these edits of him to not feel as alone to see this character and I relate so much makes me not feel so dead inside. But I do feel dead inside. It was my job to protect everyone and I feel like I always fail them. It’s a huge weight on your shoulders. To deal with being the strong one and being there and watching over everyone else when you can’t get an ounce of help back. The only person I have in my life that’s there for me is my best friend and I like to view her as Sam. I see me and my friend as Sam and dean. I have to protect her and watch over her with everything I have. I have to give it my all and I don’t wanna let her down. Everyone has that though. I hate myself sometimes. So much. I feel so much guilt. I feel like she could’ve had a better life without me. But now she looks up to me. And I have to be that role model to her and some other people I know. I hide behind this confident exterior and smile but truth is I’m suffering inside. It hurts so bad. But I have to stay strong for everyone else. But I can’t give up and I never will. I always have to keep fighting. Just like the cast always says❤️Stay strong everybody. We can get through this.

I wonder if alot of people who love Dean as a character, Relate to Dean.. Like the self-loathing.. If so, yknow your existence matters as much as Dean's does. He believes it doesnt but yknow there are people like Sam, Cas, Jack, Bobby, Mary, John. there are loads of people like that, there with open arms ready to love you and give anything to be with you. Dont forget that ♥ (im mostly telling myself this everyday)
I dont want this to end this show this cast these people who let us into their loves on social media and at cons they didnt have to open up to us they didnt have to show us there family lives but they did. They are the people that make this fandom a family they helped msny people through dark times they helped us all through life i have never been apart of a more caring, loving fandom were the actors treat us like family because family dont end in blood. I will miss this show so much

People may ask if I'm ok, but truthfully I'm not, I relate to every freaking word here in this video. I'm lost, numb, broken, and just want to give up on everything and everyone, but I still dont have the strength to do anything about it. I'm sick of fighting by myself for everything to be alright and I know it never will be because I can't be save or fixed. If I die cool if I dont oh well. Whatever happens to me happens.

to everyone who wishes that they couldnt feel anything, please let me tell you that having no emotions and feelings isnt better. im at a stage in my life where i dont feel emotions very often, they became rare for me, so rare im surprised when they come through, without emotions you arent willing to do anything, you dont care about anything anymore, you just become a shell, it feels like you dont really exist anymore! please when you feel like you dont want to have emotions or dont want to feel anything anymore, SEEK HELP! Get help, talk to someone! I want you to feel better again, because i know what its like to feeling nothing, and thata something i wouldnt even wish upon my biggest enemies! Even if we dont know each other, please know that i want you to get better!

I live the same way every day strong exterior suffering on the interior I hate who I am I hate the person looking back in the mirror it's hard to keep fighting but I put a smile on in the front of others and pretend like nothing bothers me I'm poison tho I really I'm past saving I don't even know if I want to be saved
