He only talks about what Sam lost, not what he lost. Hes so selfless and such a caring brother but it's so sad that he doesnt give one about himself

I don’t cry at these videos because I’ve graduated top of my class at the Dean Winchester school of bottling up emotions.

this proves why Dean is probably the best character ever made, and why the Winchesters don't deserve him.

Dean's always stereotyped as the over-compensating macho guy or something, but all that false bravado is hiding so much of the abandonment issues and ill-placed responsibilities that he has literally died to cope with and keep up...he's my fav character of the series actually, everyone thinks Sam's the emotional one, but I don't think so...Dean gave him that safe environment to be able to express what he felt, Dean hardly had that, from anybody...he's always felt that he had to take care of people and not the other way around...

Everyone forgets Dean gave up basically everything, for the world..he hates himself, but he still is there for his family..the people he loves. They don't realize that Dean keeps putting himself down and he just covers it up. Castiel realizes it, he knows Dean doesn't thinks he deserves to be saved, that he should have stayed dead, and that he doesn't matter. And that is just.........not true.

I love Dean Winchester. He will always remain one of my favorite fictional characters. Watching this after the finale hits so hard. My poor Dean deserved so much better.

I tried to keep an open mind about Mary during series 12 because I understand it had to be super tough for her to try and get used to this new life and everything. I was really sad watching her getting manipulated/tortured by the British Men of Letters - although she brought it on herself. But the problem is - no one in the Winchester family is perfect but they all care about family and Mary doesn't. Yes, she lost years, but those are still her kids and even if she's not fully responsible for the Azazel deal, she is partially at least. My problem is that she doesn't try. She says she will, but she never does. She should have sat down with Sam and Dean and bonded but she didn't. She owed them that at least. We've never seen Mary trying to make it work, all she does is run away. She doesn't have a problem getting used to a completely new alternate reality world and being a mom to Jack and fighting for those people because she never knew them before and doesn't have this past with any of them. She says things, but they fall flat because nothing backs them up. I just totally don't see her caring about Sam and Dean despite her claiming to, there's no closeness between them and it bugs me. I think it's not fair. Because Sam and Dean have never had a caring adult figure apart from people they aren't actually related to. I mean Jodie is more of a mother than Mary and Bobby is a better father than John ever was.

I don't know what is sadder. This video, or the fact that I was looking for a happy Dean video and just found sad ones 😂

The line where she says “I am your mother, but I am not just a mom” just pisses me off so fricken much. Sorry sweetie you only get to say things like that when you actually ACT like a mom, when you actually put in the time your children deserve. Mothers who deserve to say things like that would never actually say things like that *to* their children

I don't know how I feel that I can relate to dean when he told his mother "I hate you, and I love you" because my mother never see how good I am or how much I do she only see what I did wrong and what I couldn't do.

The way dean acts in this tribute is captivating. Pain, resentment, remorse, forgiving, and strength to portray sacrifice. Way to go big brother. 👏

both SAM and dean lost a lot, but with dean he lost his existence in life to protect SAM. and yeah SAM has lost to but dean gave him a childhood and he went to college. that why a lot the #spn fans connect to dean cause a protector first. and they see themselves in dean.

Dean has always had the empty darkness inside of him where he doesn't care of himself but about others even when he got sent to hell he didn't care who they put in front of him

I truly feel like Dean feels tremendous pain talking about what Sam has been through.

Dean is that one guy who'll put everyone before himself even if hes the one who loses everything 💔

I never liked Mary. I have a theory that Amara, being the dark half of the balance, could only provide darkness as a reward to Dean. Yes, she got back with Chuck, but, he DID try to kill her, after all. What better way to punish him while seeming to everyone else to be rewarding him? By putting Mary back into his life, Dean suffered more anguish than even Hell's greatest torturers could cause.

Oh my gosh! This is so emotional! I remember first watching this scene and struggling to hold back the tears! It took so much for Dean to say "I hate you" - he loves his mom so much! If anyone ever said anything negative about her, he always immediately stood up for her - so when he says it, you know it comes from a place of sadness. He loves Sammy and it breaks his heart to see him go through so much horrific things! Dean has always been, and forever will be, the heart of this show! Great work with the video - the clips and the music all work so well! 💖

There are not enough words in the world to discribe how outstanding this video is. You pictured one of my favourite scenes of Dean and matched with perfect memories it's like you let us right through his head at that momment to see what he sees and feels what he feels. I really can't begin to explain how i consider this a master piece. Thank you thank you so much for making this video it's brilliant. There are alot of Dean's videoes out there but this one is simple in a very elegant way.

To be honest, I never had a grudge against Mary before. I wasn't psyched when they brought her back in season 12 though; the entire reason why Sam and Dean didn't have a normal childhood was because of her death and it just felt weird to have her back. It also seemed that she was perfectly happy in heaven and they just ripped her out of that happiness all of a sudden. I honestly felt bad for her. But now looking back, I've realized how much she is to blame for. She caused her own death, and while she was up in heaven, the rest of the family was suffering from the loss of a wife and a mother. And John was so changed from that, that Dean had to step in and be the parent for Sam. Dean never had a break, a childhood, a parent of his own to take care of him. He couldn't even take care of himself. John was not a good father, and Mary wasn't there to take care of her own children. I know that Mary made the demon deal for the love of her life just as Dean did for Sam (making these deals runs in the family apparently). But Dean deserves so much more than what he got. He deserves a happy ending.

I kind of have a similar situation but with my dad.......just realized that I’m Dean and my dad is Mary. My dad left me, my sisters and my mom years ago without any money. He just took off and said he is going to work somewhere and send us money. He would come to visit or send money on our birthdays, but nothing more. He recently came back and said that he is staying for a long time, we all got upset and told him that he left us when we needed him the most, and that I had to take care of my sisters, and my mom of all of us. We are doing better financially now but not thanks to him. I’m so mad at him but at the same time feel sorry for him because of his mistakes, now we don’t need him anymore, he retired and has nowhere else to go. We kind of hinted that he can’t stay with us, so I don’t know what he is planning on doing, but coming back into our lives after such a long absence is just too much to take. The only difference between Dean’s mom and my dad is that my dad left by choice, we asked him not to go but he did! So Dean shouldn’t be mad at Mary, if she hadn’t died she would have been a great mom! Anyways I guess I just needed to share my sad sad story......

I grew up with this show I'm their age and it honestly breaks my heart it will all end no matter if it's a show or not it meant more to alot of people then just that
