the crucial boast by Agarkar was like masterpiece he just gave a perfect finish to a defendable total. Kya din the ye cricket k koi show bazi ni pure game and jasba
VVS Laxman he deserved the chance more than Dinesh mongia for the 2003 world cup . He would've definitely made an impact against a team like Australia !
@@deepush316 aa ji han kya match Deka apne batting hmare mazbotii rhe hai hmesaa batting nhi chali us match main bolwing ne jo krna tha so kr diya tha 359 chase ho skte thee yadi Sachin Tendulkar v runs krte or Kaif v zero pr out ho gye thee
Those were the times when Aussi was like a monster. It was almost impossible to defeat them . They had Mathew haiden, Gilchrist, Ricky ponting, Andrew simonds, Shane warn, Brett Lee, McGrath etc. I can still feel the fear of that Australian team.
Yuvi was the finisher in the middle from the side..What a firing with bat..He was so consistent and performed regularly for the country when there were no hard hitter to finish the total at high..Legend
Cricket felt real those days. Batsman use to hard work for every single run. Batsman playing with reverse swing in dept overs was sightseeing. Cricketers were really playing for India give everything they can before devil 👿 IPL, T 20 , Big bash were introduced. Now glimpses of old matches brings tears 😭 of happiness and hope to bring the same cricket again.🙏
The only match that India won against Australia in that triangular series :/ We were thrashed badly by the Aussies in the second league match and then the final. Watched this when I was 8year old but the memories are still so fresh!
I think this was the first match after we lost to Australia in world cup final. I was just starting to watch and understand cricket and I thought we could never beat australia especially after loosing to Australia twice in 2003 world cup. But this match gave me joy. i am 30 years old now, i can't follow much cricket, but those were good times.
Man this was the cricket. Look the size of ground, hard hitted ball stopping before the boundries. What a mesmerizing strokes from The God Sachin and classic of all VVS. And those spine chilling spells of aussie ballers and so tight fielding. Gilchrist had been my favourite, like commentator said, "he does that to all the ballers from all over the world".
Those are golden days where every player played their soul out for their country....Those days are long gone....nowadays players are only for money, individual records and IPL...IPL ONLY.....I am happy to witness all of 90's games...
India and Australia have faced each other in 143 matches in ODI. Out of these 143 games , India have won 53 whereas Australia have come out victorious on 80 occasions .
But it's always India who puts Australia's ego and arrogance backforth whether it's breaking the consecutive test victories record in Perth , breaking the world Cup winning streak of Australia in quarterfinals of 2011, whitewashing Australia by 3-0 in T20 series in Australia , defeating Australia in 2 test series on the Australia soil
@@peeyushgupta889 it's just a sport, ego and arrogance especially in cricket should not exist as it is a gentlemen game. India won in 2011 against Australia, but then same can be said about India too, as Australia ended India's WC winning streak in 2015 World Cup by thrashing them badly. But problem with Indian team lies in converting their abilities to win in knockout games.
The only thing that lacks for India at that time when compared to the Aussies is some disciplined fast/swing bowling and fielding, that's why we lost most of the matches in that era
Hahahahha one man n whole world that's 90s cricket, golden era of cricket for sure .thanks Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar for makes our childhood exciting n joyful.
October November ki sardiyon mein hone Wale tours and tournaments. As a 90s kid, those were the best days. Diwali k bache hue firecrackers ko sambhal k rakhna...and as soon as India wins any match..firecrackers start busting all over the city
Sachin is god of cricket...watching him as batsmen is awasome when he plays shots and his techniques is awesome.... and he plays againts great teams and bowlers at that time.
I remember watching this match when I was in class 3. This was just after the 2003 World Cup. So winning against Australia in this match reduced the pain of the World Cup loss. Gone are those days when Cricket had worth.
@@shubmangill5629 wah bhai tarikh bhi yaad he, sayad pehla live match hoga stadium se. Mujhe 8 dec 2011 yaad h jab maine pehli bar stadium me match dekha tha. Sehwag ne 219 banaye the indore me.
We called them yellow police. Dangerous Aussies side of all time. I hated them but now I have respect of their quality cricket. Best batting, bowling, keeping, fielding of that era.
People who don't know anything keep this type of comments by the time dhoni took Aussie is in decline graph and with retiring of Gilchrist, Hayden, McGrath, Gillespee, Kasprowizz, Symonds (removed due to certain outside issues) ok and that to Australia not at all at its prime as it is in 1996-2004 so inorder to make dhoni a bit bigger u need not make Australia smaller 😀
And bro you forget australia rest there top Bowlers in that's series they pick new young bowlers like Nathan bracken Brad Williamson and still won the tri-series 2003 in india that's shows in that time beating australia 2nd string team very hard to do
@@mssrpraneeth1211 bro australia dominate world cricket 1995 to 2009 not 2004 australia dominate test and odi cricket for 14 years lots of people forgets west Indies never dominate odi cricket like australia yes they dominate test cricket like australia
All the top players of aus got retired. Dhoni came in the rebuilding stage . Dhoni is very lucky. Strengthless aus team lost against him. Made him called as a great captain. Truth is he is a lucky captain
I have a concern always in my mind ……. In india why ground is small as compared to England, Australia, South Africa but in past ground was big as compared to present days
It is because the bcci has understood that if you have bigger boundaries, then 4's and 6's are a bit hard to come by. Now they have made the boundaries smaller so that there are more boundaries and more entertainment. This is also a reason why Indians struggle abroad because of the bigger stadiums . It's a bit tactical to earn more praise and get the entertainment going but in reality there's no bat and ball competition
Have you ever observed the stadiums abroad? Beautiful outfield,no stupid ads, bright flood lights, attractive stands, amazing stump mic and etc... Because of the corruption by BCCI, these are all not maintained well enough but in reality it all can be done .
aisa nai he england austrelia SA me pitch hard aur fast hoti he waha ball tez aata he isiliye boundry clear karna jyada muskil ni hoti but india me pitch slow hoti he bat pe ball slow aati he isiliye boundry clear krna muskil hoti he aur hamare indian player hitting ability bi kam hoti he bahar ke players se
Imagine having Sehwag, Tendulkar, Yuvi and Raina who cud bat phenomannaly well and share overs and take key wickets at the same time ! This team was indeed unmatchable!
I had to go for exam that day and score was 1-1 and when I returned home I got to know that sachin and laxman had scored tons finally Agarkar gave the finishing touch..
This match 2003 tvs cup sachin laxman magnificent partnership spin bowling ind won wc 2003 final revenge great mmry chail days i think my age that time 13 th
Many fans will say India-Pakistan rivalry is the hottest. But in reality, it should be India vs Australia. I mean, if we look back from time of Sunil Gavaskar and Allan Border, things were really at the peak. And that's when the Border-Gavaskhar trophy was introduced.
Don't put titles like that, 90's kids know how fierce Aussies were at that time. I guess this was the only win India had against them in that triangular series. Here in this series finale Aussies scored just mere 235-5 if I am not wrong and I was damn excited the whole day that India could win but they bundled out India for 198 and won the trophy.
I started watching cricket from 2003 I remember there is test match between India and Australia and Brett Lee is furious with his ball and Sachin got out by him and nobody come out from Indian dressing room to bat and face Lee and after 15 minute wait Ganguly come out to bat
Once Geoffrey boycott said don't compare Sachin centuries with Ricky ponting winning centuries, because Sachin get more centuries against world no 1 bowlers fielders keeper allrouders and team even india got defeated, but Ricky ponting centuries are not. Golden era of indian cricket. Saurav Sachin Dravid shewag Yuvaraj kumble Srinath Zaheer Harbhajan and co..
Dear Indians, test matches = Australia 43, India 29 ... ODI = Australia 80, India 53 ... T20 = Australia 10, India 13 .... Overall, Australia has won more than India so stop being cocky 😘😘
