How do I help a child who has trouble with word finding? I have several children on my caseload who have trouble coming up with the right word for things.

Thanks for your question! There are two different strategies that we can use to help children who are struggling with word finding/word retrieval. Those are semantic strategies (helping children better understand the meaning of words) and phonological strategies (helping children store information about how words sound). This video will show you how to do that and give you some examples of what that looks like in therapy.
