@@thecrow764 best steak I’ve ever had. And the Caesar salad was delicious as were the cocktails. Chicken was dry. Cost $300 for two people so not cheap.
My dad was a cop in Culver City in the 80s and he said the local cops loved eating there and it was a favorite watering hole for members of local government.
There's a new development that's going to be built there in April 2021. It also sounds like they're not going to move the restaurant, but just retire it.
@@paulpinball9952 I know we all aim to be profitable, but it pisses me off that a swanky and cool place like Dear John's is getting bulldozed and Tito's isn't. Dear John's is the kind of history that should be remembered while Tito's should be forgotten. I noticed they shut down the ice rink too, what a shame.
@@lightorchestrator : Tito's jumped the shark at least a decade ago. Last menu I saw had an all-beef burrito with cheese (extra) going for $10.70. Even adjusting for inflation, there's no way I would have patronized Tito's in its salad days at prices like that. I'm with you. Level it!
@@paulpinball9952 Oh yeah that's true, $4.25 for a taco with cheese too. They've raised their prices so much it's unethical to me. I remember being a semi-regular there in the late 2000's and early 2010's when I was 16-19 years old. It wasn't great food but it was cheap and fun to eat. Now it's expensive and easier to see how mediocre it is.
Let Go Why is it tacky? It's actually an elegant salad that when made properly (which is rarely the case), is really quite delicious. It's rather an old school elegance that really never goes out of style.
