What are your thoughts on Fish/Crud Launch? Let me know, I think there should be a little bit more control over your movement when being shot from a cannon buttttttt the momentum engine does wacky things when you fish launch, and thats just too much.
Crud launches aren't ban worthy according to Rare. It's the bane of my HG existence, especially with the new blunder. They just run and launch, super annoying. I managed to pin 2 of these fuckers down recently and sunk them. They can't naval for shit or even tank. In adventure mode, I don't care about fish launches. I use it occasionally to stop runners. In HG though, fuck it.
fish launch everyone can do and doesn't send you nowhere near as far as a crud which sends you what feels like across the map. Plus only pc players can do it as far as I know. I play on 120 fps mode on the ps5 but I'm not sure if that's high enough framerate. As far as the fight itself went, you saw em board and weren't caught off guard so it was just a fair tdm that he was winning imo. Regardless, he didn't do any damage to your ship and you were back inbounds so he just straight up won that naval fight
Fish launch and crud launch are the same thing afaik, just different names as now you need to use a fishing pole. The other launch is the 'funny launch' which you use the ships ladder. I agree that he won without the launch at the end, however hourglass is a game of pressure and balancing giving/taking damage, the fact that he could fish launch and easily board me without a counterplay adds extra pressure, and feels terrible.
@King_Coop oh my bad yeah I assumed the funny launch and crud launch were the 2 with interchangeable names. With how far you can go, how you can steer any direction in water and it being a pc only thing, I see the funny being the issue between the 2. But thanks for the clarification. All that pressure at the end looked tough. I'm similar hour glass level but not as competent, finding it tough to get good ship angles and managing
