take a shot everytime someone writes an overused ''george eacker can count to 7 xDDD'' joke actually no don't, you'll die hope you enjoy!! / level9trash
Burr: she's so cute Alex: *shoving his kid in other people's faces* LOOK. LOOK AT THIS CHILD. GUESS WHAT. I MADE IT. IT'S MINE. HEY ITS MR. PRESIDENT- DAD YOU'RE A GRANDPA.
"I swear that I'll be around for you..." both men outlived their kids 😭 1y Edit: Theodosia was assumed dead since she disappeared. No one truly knows what happened to the ship.
Burr : *treats Theodosia as a lady* Hamilton : *Swinging Phillip Around* LOOK ITS MY SON IM SO PROUD I HAVE A SON, DID I MENTION HE EXISTS AND MY SON IS THE BEST I HAVE SO MUCH PRIDE IN MY SON Phillip : *internally* wtf is happening
Burr: My daughter has etiquette and intellect. Hamilton: LOOK AT MY SON. LOOK AT HIM. HEY! YOU'RE NOT LOOKING! LOOK! *aggressively throws, then hastily catches Philip*
@@brigitte5505 Oh Shit... Da fuck u doin Alex? I mean... I ship u guys.. But.... Yeah.. Too fast... Ugh.... Just wear protection... Eliza better find someone else... Cheater... I still love you but... Stop.. Lol... *W E A R P R O T E C T I O N*
Fact I found on the internet- Burr was an early feminist, and Theodosia got a better education then some men of that time. That was word for word lol. Someone told me that on Pinterest, and I’m actually quite sure they were right..
@@JeanValjean875 Actually, no. At the time men and women received different forms of education, men who were much poorer than her would have received a better academic education than she did since middle class men could pursue higher education at colleges and universities. Even some poor men attended colleges. Woman on the other hand learned more artistic and homely skills during school with the addition of writing, then they would stop their education before men did. Theodosia was still restricted even with a rich father, she did get a higher education that some men but it was definitely not a majority.
@@nutellacelery8830 You know what "poor" before the industrial revolution means, yes? This means you are in a constant state of near-starvation. Such a person, man or woman, has no time to go to college, they will work from sunrise to sunset, and it will be very impressive if they can read and write at all. This was the situation of 95% of the population, and a big reason for the French Revolution.
Fact: When Burr sings about his daughter, "When you came into the world you cried and it broke my heart". This is what Burr actually said about his daughter's birth.
Alexander is known in the musical to have so much to say. But in this one song, I can't help but notice how speechless he is of Philip's birth. It's like no word could describe or explain everything he feels about it. He's just astonished and so full of love!
this is one of the two times Alexander is at a loss for words. The other is Laurens' death. Hell, in real life, he didn't speak to anyone for 2 days after he died
Alex: LOOK!! I MADE A THING!! LOOK AT THIS THING! THAT I MADE! ALL BY MYSELF, WITH NO HELP, THIS IS MY CHILD, HE IS PERFECT, HE IS MY SON, I LOVE HIM, LOOK AT MY SON!!"
I like to imagine that if Philip hadn’t died, he and Theodosia would’ve fallen in love and that Hamilton and Burr would’ve had to deal with it Edit: I know this is a historical event and I'm not trying to disrespect that. I am ashamed to admit that I say this purely from a place of spite, not knowledge of actual events.
This probably would avoided Hamilton's death or at least him getting shot by Burr. Because Theodosia Jr. would have been mad at him for shooting her father-in-law.
53 things about this animatic that make me cry: 1. its heartwarming 2. they care more abt their children than anythign else hamilton wrote the other 51
But if Alex had never died then he wouldn't have a musical about him, and we would have no animatics or shitposts and all this stuff to fangirl over. Just saying...
Fun fact: Both Theodosia and Philip died before their parents at very young ages. As we know based off of Hamilton, Philip died in a dual at age 19. If you google Theodosia it says she was lost at sea at age 29 even her son died at age 10. Cherish every moment you have with your loved ones ❤️
Ham: I MADE THIS CHIALD! I DID THAT! ELIZA!! SEE DIS??? (Alex holds Phillip to her face) Eliza: Ya. I know. I birthed him. Ham: MYYYY CHIAAAAALD ISHHH DAAAAAA BESSSSTCHIAAAALD EVVVVVVVVVAAAAAAAH!!! Eliza: *Facepalm*
It’s sad to think about that in an ironic twist, both Phillip and Theodosia died before their parents. At least both families had other children irl to ‘pass the nation onto’, but the two main kids of this story were specifically victims of tragedies and outlived by their parents who sung that they were giving everything to them for their futures.
Fun fact: when burr says "when you came into the world you cried and it broke my heart", thats quoting a letter burr actually wrote to his daughter Theodosia. I'm pretty sure it was the letter he wrote before he dueled with Hamilton.
Burr: I love my daughter, she's amazing, she's going to be great. Alex: I have a son. A son, I know, right? Having a son is great. Did I mention he's my son?
Daphne Huang technically, The song is Aaron burr sir but there's alexander EDIT. HOLY FLIPPING SLIPPERS I GOT A LIKE THANK YOU. PERSIN!! Another edit: I meant person also FLAPPIN THANK YOU FOR FIVE LIKES THIS IS THE MOST LIKES I'VE GOTTEEEEN
imagine Hamilton just telling Eliza that he’s going to take a “peaceful” walk with Phillip, when really he does this *yanks Phillip from stroller* L O O K A T M Y S O N. *LOOK YOU ARE NOT LOoKING*
@@dfhbuin8546 Nope, the mom was sick. Dear Theodosia (reprise) is about the mom dying. The daughter was the one who died in the shipwreck. Tragic, isn’t it?
Just realised that Burr and Ham both promise to be around for their kids, and they both keep that promise the only way it's possible - by outliving Theo and Phillip.
Burr: You came of age in our young nation, I bled and fought for you, Did all that I can do And even if you don't return to this nation, I'll still be here for you And I hope, wherever you are, you'll blow them all away, Someday, someday Yeah, you'll blow us all away Someday, someday...
2:02 “I swear that’ll be around for you” they both kept that promise. Burr obviously didn’t die (idk about in history but we’re talking about in the musical) he stayed alive for her. Alex died, he then in the afterlife was with Phillip GUYS THEY BOTH KEPT THEIR PROMISES!!!
i mean- both of them managed to outlive their children in the end so- maybe they were a bit too successful at that. Philip lived to be 19 (died in 1801) and Theodosia died a decade later at 29 (died in 1813). In contrast, Hamilton died in 1804 and Burr lived until 1836.
Hamilton and Burr had a truly flowering relationship with their children. Both maintained a fatherly position to their kids, teaching them to speak, walk, etc. They both managed to have a laugh with them and love them meanwhile also teaching them to be polite, and graceous and teaching them of the ways of the world. The only thing that cursed these kids is the mistakes their fathers made.
2:06 "I'll do whatever it takes" -> shows all of Hamilton's writings, looks like rough drafts for the Reynolds Pamphlet or letters to Burr "I'll make a million mistakes" -> shows Burr with his gun I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE
At that point in time, those are probably the Federalist Papers. Alexander is focused on "doing whatever it takes" to build a good country for his son.
@@runefaustblack yeah, chronologically that makes the most sense! I'm just saying, that knowing Szin is a genius and since animatics can take creative liberties, it can reference both, especially since they match the lines so well!
AWWW~ this is so adorable! I love lil' Philip and Theodosia~ *sees Eliza holding a letter at **02:56* Wait what- *realization kicks in* (*cough* Lauren's Interlude is probably next *cough)* OH NOOOOO- *starts sobbing*

Eliza has straight hair. Hamilton has straight hair. Laurens has curly hair. Philip has curly hair. *WHAT HAPPENED HERE...* Edit: Seriously what happened here? Why do I have so many likes? xdxd
Imagine if Philip and Theodosia started dating and when the parents had to meet.... A. Ham: So time to meet your gf’s dad? Philip: mhm! *at dinner* A. Burr: Hello- A. Ham: H- A. Burr: YOU??!! @@lvrraine Honestly, the story where Angelica tries to kill her younger brother who was also named Philip cause she thought it'd make the real Philip come back is so tragically haunting that i hate that there's no way to mention it in the musical.
Burr: My daughter is sweet I love her :) Ham, shoving Phillip in everyone's faces on the street: LOOK. AT. MY. SON. LOOK AT HIM. YOUR NOT LOOKING. Eliza: ...
My Dad hasn't contacted me in years, he messaged me today for the first time in 13 years. This song explains his feelings to me and is just like my Dad crying over me when he first saw me. This song wasn't that important to me but now it means so much to me.
