"Poor Peggy-she doesn't stick around the story long enough to merit a musical motif. She married rich and died young, in case you were wondering where she is in Act Two" - Hamilton The Revolution by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jeremy McCarter now we know why she needs attention in act one. poor peggy.
Despair_Alchemist xx "Margarita “Peggy” Schuyler is often overlooked by historians because her sisters were so much more involved in politics. Here she bursts in to make sure she’s remembered despite being of less historical importance. Though it’s not noted in the show, Peggy ended up marrying Stephen Van Rensselaer III, a powerful landowner, the last patroon in New York, and the tenth richest American ever as of 2007. She died at 42 in 1801." - Chernrows Hamtilon biography the same person who played peggy also had to play maria reynolds, so probably another factor that played a part in her disappearance from Act 2.
Despair_Alchemist xx Peggy died of an illness in 1801 after being sick for a while, before she died she asked Alexander to stay with her for a few days they were good friends
OK EVERYBODY. Think of the speed of light and multiply it by a thousand. I'm very emotional about this musical (and this youtube channel), and all of you are underestimating my insanity
Peggy:Daddy said to be home by sundown Angelica:Daddy doesn't need to know Peggy:Daddy said not to go downtown Angelica:Peggy shut up were like 24 we dont need daddy Edit:oh my frig!!! The likes tho... Thx everyone❤
I mean Peg was like 17, but the other two were definitely old enough to wonder down town NYC to search for husbands, because they don't need mama throwing a big party
No, if you look it up. Angelica was definitely born first, and died after Peggy. Eliza was the middle of the girls and lived the longest. Peggy was the youngest and died first
Angelica was born in 1756 and died in 1814, and married John Barker Church. Eliza was born in 1757 and died in 1854, and married Alexander Hamilton. Margarita, also known as Peggy, was born in 1758 and died in 1801, and she married Stephen Van Rensselaer the third. Peggy was the oldest of the younger children, but Angelica was definitely the oldest on all accounts. And...if you listen to Satisfied, Renee even says how Angelica is the oldest. I'm a history nerd. I know these things. They also had 5 other living siblings.
I was in 5th grade and found a video that someone uploaded when after they went to it and they recorded the whole thing so I watched it they had nice seats too it was in the middle of the theater and the right spot that wasn’t too far away but also not to close
Poor Laurens doesn't understand the struggle of trying to find someone 'cause destiny *CoughsBurrCoughs* put Hamilton in the very same bar he was that night
'cause there's a chance that it actually happen and Lin and Anthony are handsome men and nooooooooooooooooooooo oneeeeee can stop us from shipping them within the context of the musical \O/ (And because of fanfiction, like... damn, there's really talented people in AO3.)
1:06 Lafayette and Mulligan:She's looking for me! **both get rejected* 1:23-1:36 *Burr tries to flirt with Angelica* **Burr gets rejected* 2:56 *Burr, Lafayette, and Mulligan all very depressed* Hamilton: What's wrong with them? Laurens: they got rejected again Omg this is amazing [Edit] Wow 1.3k likes? Thanks guys 🙏🏻
1:35/1:36 idk Aaron Burr: *rudely flirting w/ Angelica* Eliza: *pulls out knife* Peggy: *pulls out gun* Angelica: Don't worry, I'm about to sass the hell outta this guy. Lol that's sisterhood right there
Wooh! There’s nothin’ like summer in the city Someone in a rush next to someone lookin’ pretty Excuse me, miss, I know it’s not funny But your perfume smells like your daddy’s got money Why you slummin’ in the city in your fancy heels You searchin for an urchin who can give you ideals?
And here's an extra like to szin for making it Hercules and Lafayette who say 'she's looking for me!' instead of Laurens and Lafayette *awards like solemnly*
Peggy:daddy said to be home by sun down Agenlica:daddy doesn’t need to know Peggy:daddy said not to go downtown Eliza:Peggy were like 21we don’t care what daddy thinks
Peggy was a secret badass! When Tories stormed the Schuyler home, she was the only family member to rush downstairs to save their baby sister and tell the invaders their father had gone to fetch reinforcements! When the Tories fled, an Indian threw a tomahawk at her that missed and left a large gash on the stair banister. The Schuylers didn't fix it and kept it as a mark of pride.
I like how Aaron introduces them instead of birth order in death order Born(oldest to youngest): Angelica, Eliza, Peggy Death(earliest to latest): Peggy, Angelica, and Eliza Also Hamilton was at Peggys death bed (it was the same year Phillip died) and it turns out that Peggy often confided in Hamilton like little sister to big brother (Peggy died of the common cold)
There are a few extra moments like that, which I kinda wish were added to the story! For example, Philip was actually rushed to his nearest relative’s house after getting shot, which happened to be his aunt Angelica’s. She called for a doctor and calmed her nephew down before the doctor arrived, and before Alexander even knew of his son’s injuries.
that moment when you flirt with a girl and find out shes a 3rd wave feminist *wHoOpS* angelica is totally a 1st and or 2nd wave feminist tho so its alright
Hamilton lines Alex:Just you wait. Burr:Wait for it. Eliza:Look around at how lucky we are to be alive right now Angelica;I know my sister like i know my own mind. Peggy: And PEGGY! Laurens:Yo! Thomas: What did i miss?
Charles Lee: I'm a general ! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! John Laurens could also be "Tomorrow there'll be more of us." and Mulligan: "Let's have another round tonight!"
My teacher played this is social studies class and she cut it in the middle and everybody started yelling and saying why she cut it off.I was mad to XD.
EmiTheEmu Eliza McNamara. Her dad is loaded; he sells engagement rings. Peggy Duke. No desernible personality, but, hey, her mom payed for implants. Angelica Chandler.. The almighty. She is a mythic b- What am I even doing?
Peggy: Daddy said to be home by sundown. Angelica: Daddy doesn't need to know. Peggy: Daddy said not to go downtown. Eliza: Like I said you are free to go. Peggy: Daddy said... Angelica: Peggy sut up with daddy. Peggy: But daddy said.... Eliza: Enough. Go home. And tell daddy we are going to be late for dinner. Peggy: Fine! 😡 Edit: Wow 113 likes??!! Thanks guys!! ☺☺☺
"whats wrong with them?" "they got rejected again" Lafayette: *sobbing, "i-in france w-w-women are n-not liiiiikkkeeeee thiiiiiissss!!??" *collapses, wont move for a week. Mulligan: "MOVE YOU LAZY BUM THERES STAINS ON YOUR PANTS I MUST FIX THEM"

if you ever feel down, just remember that we breathe the same air as lin-manuel miranda. *look around, look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now*
random robloxian Actually that still makes Peggy the youngest! If you were born in for example, 1000, you'd be 1017 today. Just subtract the current year from their birth years and compare! (No hate, just letting you know!)
the girls in 2017: *angelica-* head of a very large corporation fighting for women's rights. super smart and witty and can shut down a catcaller in an instant. hates the patriarchy *eliza-* a kindergarten teacher at a school in new york. volunteers to go help children in other countries over her summers. loves kids and is planning to adopt twins *peggy-* badass motorcycle riding chick who doesn't give a fuck. stars in her own TV show called "And Peggy." actually turned out to be lesbian.
Omg, I thought when they said, work work, I thought they said TWERK TWERK, and that was bad cause when they said, "they go downtown to see the guys WORK WORK" I was like....... Shiz now that's messed up
Harry Potter you are on EVERY comment that talks about the musical. Can you like not? We're trying to enjoy the ANIMATIC and the MUSICAL. We aren't talking about history most of the time.
This world has been around for thousands of years, will be around for thousands of years, but we just happened to exist at the same as this beautiful musical like oh my god
