@Top Trunks At least there was no negative energy around, which is what I believe they meant by “refreshing”. For example, in the Rainmaker Hagglefish stage, when they lost lead, everyone was like “it’s ok, we can push back.” Even if the push back didn’t happen, there was still that positive energy :) It’s kind of hard to not be rapidly shouting out callouts in a game as fast as splatoon! Things can change second by second, and pro players need to be able to respond that quickly.

@@toptrunks2219 they're an intense game and are going to be talking loud of course, but communication is actually really important in this game. if you pay attention to what they're saying when they play you'll realize it's actually super essential information that keeps them working together. not to mention that it's never all that negative -- hell the last thing that chara says at their loss is "it's okay, we still did really good." the most telling information about the energy of a pro team is not their tone of voice while they're playing, but before and after.

Watching Failboat and Jaymoji commentate this tournament in their fancy suits was the peak Splatoon experience for me (especially the finals between Flippa Floppa and Starburst!) Your run was pretty good too! Congrats on placing 7th!

Man sometimes I genuinely consider going competitive for Splatoon 3, because this does look extremely fun, but top staying top 1000 - 2000 with my motivation in X battles is IMPOSSIBLE for me. I get to like top 500 cause I grind then abstain for possibly weeks at a time and dip to far past that. I doubt with that I could be very good at it. Plus I'm not very good at communicating. Very interesting still watching you and many others play tournaments, you guys work very well together and the energy is amazing. I hope I can one day be in a similar position to you
