Theory Time children..... this is how Death gets his reapers. Think about it. he find suiciders, offers them a chance at life and happiness, and wether its in his control or not. bad shit happens and he makes a new deal.

@@QUEENOBSCURE Definently the best incarnation of death, in my opinion at least. Cares for humans, tries to twist and turn the rules to help them and gets in trouble for it. Just a more lighthearted view on death is so charming and comforting, in a way.

Just a theory, this is probably how Death in the story gets more souls. He was miserable thus he was abandoned by friends, family, and his love cus they didn't want to get sucked into that pit of sadness along with him. Towards the end he has more friends again, his family plus started another family with his ex all because he turned his life around and became happy. Originally only one soul was gonna be taken, but now that Death intervened and the guy lived more souls were harvested.

Thats a great theory thus self-fulfilling one.But with this theory death becomes a literal god with the way he predicts future.

I like it when stories give these beings,like Death and such, a likable and sort of down-to-earth feel. Yeah,in the end Death is just doing his job,but it's nice to see him portrayed as having some form of mercy. Touching story and great story telling

Probably the best one I've heard in ages. And well.... despite the dark turn this took... it gave me a new perspective too. I... struggle with depression in my life... and I've thought about suicide... multiple times. Simply because I feel like my life has hit a dead end. I never thought something like a scary story could give me a new perspective on life. And I have you to thank for that mrcreepypasta

I really don't know how to feel about that one, man. In beginning the story hit home. And then I'm glad that the main character made it past his hurt and his depression and found happiness. But then horror struck again and his whole life was turned upside down more than, more than it was in the beginning. But I also know the feeling of wanting Revenge. The sweet thought of Revenge. It's almost like the Jeff the Killer Stories where the rage and darkness was sweet like a syrup. So I understand that. But in the end you feel just as lost after getting revenge than you did before getting it..... Story equals two thumbs up!!! 👍👍

When you think about it, there has to be more than one death ( theoretically, if they exist) there is no way, even if death has extremely powerful abilities, it can't be everywhere at once. That is why that there are so many different iterations. There must be different entities with the same job or possibly even apprentices of the original death....just think about it, it gets deep man.
@mistertaz94
@mistertaz94 5 лет назад
Or one could argue that on a conceptual level Death is capable and thus everywhere as an all-encompassing omnipotent existence. A personification hardly does justice to a primal existence that is at basis, an all-encompassing thing, a sort of idea given manifestation. Death as a personification should just as easily be able to exist in multiple places simultaneously because it is just that, a personification of a concept that spans existence.
@existenceisrelative
@existenceisrelative 4 года назад
That is a very limited way to look at it. For instance, imagine that time can be navigated as easily as crossing a room. Then saying that it couldn't be everywhere at once would be like someone telling you that you couldn't possibly stand in the corner _while_ holding a cup. Or imagine that someone told you that you couldn't possibly be viewing the same webpage they're viewing. That point of view might be perfectly logical to a more limited view of what the internet is, but it's a fundamental misunderstand of how it works.

Great story. It very much seems like there can be possible sequels to this, because the whole time I was thinking "there's something Death must want from Calvin". So maybe he could become some sort of "Agent of Death" because of Deaths undeniable effect on his life. Regardless, still an awesome story
