top 5 what of all what now???? How is Iniesta above PIRLO, XAVI, XABI ALONSO, ZIDANE, DE BRUYNE, KAKA, YAYA TOURE, LAMPARD, MODRIC, VIEIRA, GERRARD...??????
Andres Iniesta was a baller for Spain and Barcelona. What made him a joy to watch was his technical dribbling, excellent vision and an eye for goals including clutch goals for Barcelona and the winning goal for Spain in the World Cup final in South Africa. He's one of the best midfielder I've ever seen along with Modric, Kroos, Zidane, Ronaldinho, Riquelme, Xavi, Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard. Respect for the Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta.
Genuinely one of the best midfielders to ever play the game. Longest undefeated run Top 3 in the balon d'or twice in the Ronaldo Messi era Treble and a Sextuple 2 euros The world cup winning goal The champions league final performances Only man to win man of the match in all 3 major finals Played through injury multiple times. Criminal he never won the balon d'or.
Video made me cry man , I know what it is like to give everything when you have nothing left and having no one to give you something back when it's time to go. Man what a legend
As a Portuguese kid having his "soccer awakening" during 2006/2012, I must say, along with Sneijder, Ronaldinho, and Drogba, Iniesta was one of my teenage idols. It's a shame this next generation will never understand how much of a unsung hero this man was
@@NityamSahu It was during a Zoom call for an organization, that Iniesta promotes to increase awareness on mental health. The best experience I had with an athlete so far.
"You know something must be very wrong, when your 26 year old son shows up in the middle of the night, asking you to hold him." For those who went through similar things, this hit absurdly hard... Mental health is nothing to joke about and is a real struggle. Glad he made it out... 💯❤️
Fr. One of the only people to win the World Cup for club and country. People also forget how he absolutely ran the pitch for a Marseilles team who won the UCL, but for France and Juve was overshadowed by Zidane despite being more intelligent (just not better). Even as a manager they both had really good stints at similar times where Zidane overshadowed.
Pedri is the closest thing to Iniesta in terms of football technique in the modern game, only if he can stay fit or if his physical fitness levels can improve
Andres Iniesta the kind of player that is loved by all and hated by none. Iniesta has spent most of his career at Barcelona, where he played a major role in the club's success along with his midfield partners Xavi and Sergio Busquets. He is widely regarded by many in the sport as one of the most respected and best midfielders of all time, and as one of the greatest passers and playmakers in world football history. How Modric has a balón d’Or but Xavi and Iniesta don’t is a travesty of football. Modric is very good, but Xavi and Iniesta are a notch above
While he certainly deserved one, it simply was the era of Messi and Ronaldo. It doesn't really matter because awards are often based on opinion anyway.
Its facts, even many madrid fans consider Iniesta a better player than Modric. He wrecked havoc on them during his playing hey days n to this day its only Iniesta and Gaucho who have had the privilege of receiving a standing ovation at the Bernabeu.Even Messi never did.Shows u how special he was that even his fiercest rivals in madrid could appreciate his greatness. This guy also won the wcup by scoring the lone goal n also won back-back euros with spain in 2008 n 2012 where he was the MOTM in the final n best player of the tournament back in 2012.Its just embarrassing trying to compare Modric aspenalty great as he is to legendary Iniesta. Its not even a debate.Let modric win the euros leave alone even the wcup fr him to be considered in this debate.
@@desmondachocky537you realize that Modric won the World Cup player of the tournament in 2018 in which he won the ballon d or of that year. The same thing which Messi won after he won the World Cup while being the pott. Keep in mind Modric is still playing at the highest level that there is. Still playing in Madrid. Iniesta is playing in the Middle East. Modric’s ballon d or will always cement him as one of the best.
This was a great video Andres Iniesta will always be one of favorite footballers. A player who deserved a ballon d'or. A player who represents loyalty and hard work. Greatest midfielders of all time.
This man is a beast. One of the greatest of all time. He was "unlucky" to play in the Messi’s era (I mean unlucky in the individual prizes), but what a player, one of the best that I ever saw in my life.
There is very rarely a player who can dribble half the team from midfield and give an accurate through pass that breaks lines like him in the highest levels. There were many before him like Riquleme, Bergkamp, Laudrup, Maradona, Zidane and so on but most people who can dribble are now wingers mostly. Pedri, Bellingham, Musiala being one of the few who can but still reaching Iniesta's levels of perfection is tough. Secondly, the man went through most of his struggles in silence and never bitched about them in public. As the video said he came out or more aptly admitted that he was going through somethings in his personal life that made things really tough for him, many years after the fact. People looking at it from the outside can hardly say his performances were affected because of these events. He was a rare among rare breed of players.
As a Dutchmen I remember all to well when this man made a whole country grief.😢 But credit where credit's due, Iniesta is like the foundation you can build upon, you dont really notice it but without it your building will crumble.💪
Pictured 20+ years ago: Guardiola, Figo, Luis Henrique, Rivaldo, De Boer, Reiziger, Puyol, Cocu, Sergi, Sonny Anderson, Kluivert etc. Absolutely epic! Throughout history, more legendary players, artists and magicians have passed through Barca than any other club in the world...
I remember watching Iniesta win a under-19 (I think it was 19, maybe 17) world cup with Spain, and he was carrying the whole team. I remember thinking this kid was going to be the improved version of Xavi. Because he was playing in Xavi's position, but he accompanied the play all into the box and also scored. He reminded me of Valerón. He was fenomenal already as a kid. It took quite a bunch of years for him to get into the team (More than Xavi, it was Deco who was blocking him the way), but it was clear he was eventually going to be a crucial piece.
Iniesta is my favorite player ever. He kept football simple, but with so much flair. Untouchable. He was so good, i really miss his style in football, and even in the football simulator games :)
El mejor y el más humilde. The best and the most humble. If anyone in their entire professional career deserves a balon d’or (or more than one!) it is him. Grande Andres!
Please can you do a video on Jimmy jones score over 600 goals played for Fulham, Belfast Celtic, Portadown and many other clubs in the UK he is a very underrated forward and I hope that you do a video on Jimmy jones just as good as this one 🙏
American here, 44 years old. I called Spain winning the 2010 World Cup back in 1999. I was obsessed with those players when they were just teenagers.. So damn good!!! Plus, I got a renob for Spain. Always have. Love the women there!
Iniesta is absolutely the best technician of all time... No one ever had such a refined touch, a soft wrist full of feeling and precision, such ball control and technique! And one of the three greatest natural talents of all time... At the age of 10, he played identically to the peak of his career... Perfect proof that technique, vision, creativity, ball control, football IQ etc. are the most important things in football...
You could do a video about Georgi Asparuhov. He is a Bulgarian legend and has a very interesting story. There is going to be a movie about him. He even declined AC Milan just to stay at his boyhood club. I think it will be a good video.
Should add that the best thing Iniesta had, without a doubt, was his knowing how to behave, his attitude and his sportsmanship. Clean, without provoking the public, without stupid celebrations. A true gentleman in the field.
In Barca's pomp with all their superstars, the man I always tuned in to watch was Iniesta. The way he glided across the pitch, his feather touch, his ability to create and see space for a pass, magical.
Me too. The whole world was fawning over Messi, justifiably so, but it was Iniesta that always got me excited. He would just glide around the pitch with the ball glued to his feet. What a beautiful sight. He was my favorite Barca player from that era.
for me Iniesta was the best dribbler of the ball I’ve ever seen he was the slickest player on the ball wasn’t the fastest or strongest but his level of IQ was just incredible …
Third greatest player of his generation and clutchest player of all time Changed the game as a sub in 2006 UCL, MOTM in Euro 2008 semis, a won the UCL semis in 2009, amazing in 2009 UCL final, World Cup winning goal, MOTM in WC final, amazing in 2011 UCL final, one of the most dominant international tournament runs of all time in Euro 2012, MOTM in Euro final, MOTM in UCL 2015 final
Barcelona/2011 de Messi & Cia., uma verdadeira "obra-prima do esporte" e disputando firme com o Brasil de 1970 a coroa de melhor equipe da história do futebol... 🤙🏻
Best Spanish player ever, shame we dont recognise our own. Imagine he was Brazilian...............................Una pena, Casper el puto amo! Gracias Genio!
I still considered him better retrospectively than CR7 though, regarding the difference of their position. I rarely see iniesta lose the ball, in some matches he's even become scarier than Messi.
Iniesta is indeed one of the greatest players of all time but the game in the introduction is probably the biggest robbery of all time. Ohh and how Chelsea got their revenge in 2012 was sooo sweet.
Yo another great midfielder is ruud gullit he played against Maradona and with Cruyff he won the ballondor he is one of the underrated player of all time
One of the best midfielders of all time, the skills, the grace, the intelligence was superb. Next to the likes of Zidane, Xavi, Pirlo, Modric and Kaka.
As a barcelona fan i think my GOAT player is Iniesta i always liked the way he played as i am also a midfielder Always performed in big stages and when team needed him the most. Won almost every trophies 😮💨 I think he should have won ballon d'or atleast once.
I didn’t realise you were Portuguese until you pronounced “Iniesta”. That S betrayed you 😁Greetings from your neighbour country and congratulations for your content. 👏🏼
I don't think they extinct. Not just anyone can reach Iniesta level. Spain have lots of players with smooth flair but not on Iniesta level. Pedri is a good example.
Ive only followed football and barca this year i saw some highlights of pedri. Sadly the guy was injured. Silver lining was raphinha, lamine, cubarsi, fermin and kounde for me. Aroujo messing up honestly as shitty as it is it happens. Mes que un club seems like bs cuz of this whole xavi saga. Regardless of what rlly happend with roque whether he was injured or rlly didnt speak to xavi i wosh he got more minutes. The kid seems to have heart. I see vitor, raphinha, pedri, gavi, fermin, cubarsi, lamine and kounde all playing for the badge with passion.
imo hes the best player of his generation, even above messi and ronaldo strikers are the ones who shoot goals, but the midfields decides who has the ball to shoot for me, he is the most underrated GOAT contender and imo he was the best player in the world (football constantly evolves so todays superstars are probably better, but thats why u usually compare to competition)
I rate Iniesta very highly but between him, Xavi, and Modrić, as a number 8 he did not run the pitch or define his team style of play as well. For example Xavi was a better playmaker plus he moved the ball quicker, Modric was better at winning the ball early plus on the counter, and both were better passers and at retaining possession. While Iniesta was the most creative of the bunch who could move the ball around and transition play (like a cross between an 8 and 10), which made his link up with Xavi perfect he just was not as crucial. That sort of style made him more flashy though so he is rated higher.
