But possibly the most disturbing element to this crime, these were members of Kirby Anthoney's own family.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.

This show aired in 1998 for those who are complaining about the sound and editing. This episode is 21 years old. This was state of the art of editing and music at the time!

God bless the hair specialist who spent so much time investigating all the hairs and even conducted an experiment in his own home! That´s real dedication.

the forensic guy is so great. he appeared in another case and all the other little experiments he did to make sure the evidence is compelling. that's a guy who loves his job

Did anyone else catch that the 'hair' crime scene technician guy said he performed an experiment in his own home by scattering hair around his house and vacuuming? His next sentence was, pubic hair works best. This dedicated technician plucked his own pubic hair and scattered it around his own home. That's dedication right there. lol

I can't praise these officers enough for how they forensically treated the crime scene as 3 separate ones during the 80s. Stellar job

Kirby Anthony's appeal of his conviction was rejected by the Alaska State Court of Appeals in May of 2020. At least one other appeal, based on the DNA evidence involved, is still in progress.

How is it that these guys commit these awful, awful crimes and then when they are sentenced they cry like little babies. They are all big and tough when it comes to assaulting and killing women and children but when the big man has to go to jail wah wah.

This is the time I wish they would allow the family members to have a few moments alone with the criminal to do whatever they wish to the person that killed their loved ones. No penalty to the family member. I think that might give them some form of peace.

This story made me cry for the innocence of this family especially the children. I'm grateful for all the law enforcement and every single person that worked this case to put this monster where he belongs. He will answer to a much higher judgment some day.

Oh gosh that poor family. Those babies were witness to everything. Omg what they saw, heard, and went through. There he sits, his hands shaking, and he’s crying at his sentence. Fantastic police and detective work in this case. The best I’ve seen so far. I just hate that he breathes
